Death Knight to 70

When WotLK first came out I was not too excited by the expansion. The prospect of leveling my Priest and Warlock another 10 levels seemed daunting. Going through the honor grind for an umpteenth time was weighing on my mind. "Do I really feel like spending money to go through 10 more levels of the same BS?" I would ask myself. I was truly getting tired of The Outlands and Azeroth has long been dead.

Unlike many, I did not rush out and buy WotLK the first day. (I did log on and gank some death knights.) The first thing I did after installing the monstrosity (how many gigs?!?!) was log on to my priest and go to the new lands. Everything looked very nice, the quests seemed to be lain out well, but it was still slow going. A quarter of the way into the first level of my new grind I gave up. I do not have high hopes for priests or warlocks with this expansion and my desire to level them was waning with every re-hashed collection quest.

I logged off in disgust, dreading the coming grind. Later that day I decide to give it another chance and after some urging from Dr. Wang I made my Death Knight "Just to check out the starting area" From the first quest I was hooked on my new DK. No longer would I be the squishy clothie, I was now the biggest baddest killing machine this side of the dark portal. The DK starting areas definitely gave you the feeling that your death knight was something special. A character with something a bit more epic behind them then starting at level 1 and working your way up.

The starting DK area was definitely one of the best quest chains I have done. Great story line. Unique quests. I particularly liked how Blizzard included talent points and gear upgrade from greens to blues in the starting area. Had a great feeling of progression even though it only took a couple of hours. They also did a good job of balancing the gear you start with. I felt my death knight was just as strong in Hellfire as my Warlock was coming from MC and BWL epics during The Burning Crusade. By the time I hit HFP I was on a mission to make my Death Knight my main. This would require that I put a bit more dedication into my leveling. With TBC I had cruised to 70 very slowly, ran a lot of instances and was very inefficient on the whole. A couple of things helped change that...

The most helpful thing I have done this time around is my research. I am the type of person that wants to know what he is doing. When I raided in vanilla wow, I knew the strats, I optimized my gear and spec. I read forums, theory-crafting, I competed. With level 70 arenas I researched the winning specs, group compositions and strategy's. With leveling I have always taken the opposite approach, no approach. I would wander from quest point to quest point and do instances with no direction or goal. This all changed when I made my DK my main. Not only did I have to level to 80. I would need to catch up with everyone and level to 70!

The first thing that helped me was Jame's Horde Leveling Guide
This is a great guide that will take you from level 1 to level 80. I used this from level 60 on. It gives great detail about the order you should do quests and where the locations of mobs, drops and quest items are. The thing I like most about this guide is how it sets up all your quests so that you can go out and get as many done as possible in one trip. Turning certain quests in and getting their follow-ups when the guide calls for it really helps prevent you having to go back to location X multiple times for different quests.

The last thing that helped me was Quest Helper
I had avoided using any mods as I leveled so far, partially to avoid having to re-do my ui once i hit 80 and partially due to laziness. At level 65 I thought I was moving a long pretty fast, Following my leveling guide and getting things done. However, I see my buddy log on and he is already 68, and he started a day after me! I asked him what he was doing differently than me and he pointed me in the direction of this mod. What this mod does is put all the locations of your quest items, mobs, quest turn-ins, quest drops and general information on your mini map and on you display. This one will also make up quest circuits for you to follow, but I liked the quest circuits from the leveling guide better. One of my favorite features of this mod is when you mouse over a target it tells you if it is something you have to kill for a quest or for a quest drop! The best part though is putting all the quest objectives on your mini map, makes everything that much easier to find. (Warning: This mod is a resource hog.)

My Death Knight is 70 now and I am pushing hard for 80. I am really looking forward to tanking some instances, It should give some new perspective. I DPS'ed in Vanilla WoW, Healed in TBC, and I will be tanking my undead Tauren ass off in WotLK.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Things that erk me....

I am a pretty easy going guy. I got alot of patience, but for some reason I have been running into a huge mecca storm of freaking noobs.

{Random Noob} LF1M heals - g2g

I get an invite....I am reasonably close to the chosen instance. So I start heading there. There are also 2 group members that are closer then me.

Of course I get there before everything and I
state that I am at the summoning stone and I need one more. Why o why does no one reply....like EVER?? The first couple of times it happen today, I let it slide. However, I ran probably 5-6 instances today and all of them did that to me! GRRR!

The funniest thing about it and perhaps the most annoying thing is that the furthest group member says that he is on his way. So all the people that are close to the summon stone continue to do whatever the hell they are doing while it takes 10 minutes for the furthest guy to finally get to the stone....AHHHH!

ok.../rant off

So in other news, I have finally decided that I will never be able to pick which of my toons to level to 80 first. However, I have a guess that it will be either my restro shaman or my ret pally. My mage for some reason isn't as much fun as the other two it seems.

Its kinda sad really...he was my main all through the TBC...../sniffle..../remembersgoodtimes

Here are some random screenshots to pass the time w

Monday Morning Warcraft - Digital Crack, Leveling, and Turkey Day

Monday Morning Warcraft is a weekly post that illistrates random thoughts and events that occurred over the weekend in the life of a wowhead. Feel free to e-mail me with questions, suggestions, hate mail, ect... mlange0385@yahoo.com

Gobble Gobble blog lovers!

So I log in this morning, roughly 6:30am server time, and the only guy that is logged in that early tells me "grats".
I check to see who is on in the guild and realized it was just us two....so I asked him wtf he is talking about....or who...just a general wtf

If you logged in on 11/23/08, you get an achievement! How fun right? The achievement is to mark WoW's 4 year anniversary. That got me thinking...I have been playing this game for 3 1/2 years!

Good lord...The people that are working at Blizzard, especially the business side....are geniuses. Plain and simple people. I have been playing video games since I was 5 years old. I am currently 23..../math...divide by 3 and carry the 2...

...So that adds up to 18 years of video gaming. Never ONCE did I play a game consistently for even 10 months in a row. I think the longest I have played a game besides WoW was probably some old school games like Mortal Kombat, Mario Kart, Blades of Steel, Super Mario....maybe one of the GTAs, who knows.

The point is that Blizzard has developed digital crack cocaine and they are apart of the 5% of Americans that are not affected by the struggling economy. F'n geniuses I tell ya. I think I am going to start calling Blizzard my drug dealer.

Don't get me wrong...I am not mad/sad/upset at Blizzard. Not at all, I love the digital crack, I need to get my fix daily....multiple times a day usually.

On to other news...

I am still struggling to pick a main to level to 80. Currently, my mage is 72, pally is 71, and my restro shaman is now 71. This weekend I didn't have alot of time to play, but when I did it was mostly my restro shaman. He is a badass....Riptide is amazing. Especially since it makes your lesser healing waves 0.5 second casts! I had a LHW crit for 4200....that is just silly considering my gear (T4).

I had a conversation with a Nexus pug group I was healing about what class would they rather have healing the group. All of them agreed that they rather have a priest only because of fort. Other then that they would want a shaman for their totems and the 1 minute of BEASTMODE, aka Bloodlust/Heroism. Now this is just a pug, however, it was a very good pug. It was one of those groups that had people from tops guilds in it...you know the kind. The kind were you take a deep breath of relief because you know that you aren't with a bunch of NOOBS. They also said I was the first shaman healer they came across in a really long time. I agree with that, Restro shamans are few and far between it seems these days....atleast in PUGs. I know when I am tanking or dpsing, I would want a priest, then a pally healer....then its up in the air.

What about you? Which healing class would you prefer in a 5 man situation?

~ Monday Morning Random Thoughts ~

1. Hoof'n Heals wrote a post just for me, which I thought was pretty cool. It definitely was a good read and I suggest you go over to his blog in read it.

2. Where are all the hunters at? Out of the 20 groups I have had for various instances, I have only been grouped with one hunter. Now that I think about, I have only seen a couple while I been questing. So where did they go? Did they all reroll DKs or did they decide to level another toon first? Where is the hunter love? Don't you guys know you can aoe grind now? Search youtube for Gorlliadin, there is a excellent demonstration done by BigRedKitty.

3. Azjol-Nerub was pretty f'n fun. I love how all three bosses were right after each other. I think a slow pug can do this instance in 30 minutes. A quick guild run, maybe 15 minutes tops? Plus it was very cool to be walking on spiderwebs. I remember the first time I jumped on the spiderwebs I thought I was going to go right through and die lol. I was pretty surprise when the rest of my group just jump on it lol.

4. AoE spells have gotten a huge buff in the xpan. If you have 2 aoeing classes in a 5 man group, you should definitely, DEFINITELY aoe everything down. As a frost mage, I hit for 500 and crit for 1100 using Blizzard. If I use my trinket and have my water elemental freeze the group. I can hit for 900 and crit for 1300. Also, keep in mind that the warlock aoe is even crazier. Alot more dmg, like almost double the above numbers.

5. Short work week for the people that still have their jobs. I hope everybody gains a couple pounds during Turkey Day. Remember, it is a fest! So eat like its one!

Blogger achievements, Northrend instances, and ramblings...

O ya....someone actually found my blog interesting enough to add it to their blog roll. I maybe a noob blogger, but atleast I'm heading in the right direction. Shotout goes to NoobDing

This one really surprises me. I expected at some point or another I would get linked to another blogger's blog roll, but an actual WoW gold seller comment? I was in utter shock! Last week I installed some software on the blog to see how many people actually view this blog. The numbers are great in my opinion and they are getting better. However, its super low compared to all the other wow bloggers out there I'm sure....but hey...I will take the achievement! If you have no idea what I am talking about go check out pinkpigtailinn's post out.

Looks like Tuesday's maintenance went through normally. No patch to install and for the first time since the release of WotLK, there wasn't a queue during the evening peek time on my server. Does this mean that a good portion of people transferred off? I know a couple in my guild did...but I really didn't think it would make a huge difference. Maybe all the people that quit wow months ago came back just to check out the expansion decided that they are bored with the game already. Who really knows, but I am happy that there is no longer a queue. We shall see how long that lasts.

I have now completed the first two instances in Northrend, UK and Nexus. I must say that they are both super easy. I think that UK's last boss is actually harder then any boss in Nexus or the the rest of the UK. However, I can say undoubtedly that the Nexus is super fun instance with lots of different mob encounters and very cool graphics. The only part I liked about UK in regards to artwork is the room with the fire pouring out of a huge metal demon-looking helmet. Other then that I think the instance looks very boring.

One thing I hate about having multiple toons is that no matter what toon I am running an instance with, something always drops for your toon that you are not on. IT NEVER FAILS! If I am on my mage, paladin loot will drop. If I am on my paladin, restro shaman gear will drop. If I am ....

Ok, I think you get pattern.

On a side note, I haven't played my Death Knight since this past weekend. I guess the good thing about that is I will have alot of blue bar when I decide to log in and PWN. Still, its kinda sad see all of these death knights running around Northrend higher levels then all of my toons. A Death Knight actually won a roll on some plate dps shoulders last night in Nexus.....bastards lol

Death Knights, Northrend, and Warlus people

What a freaking weekend!

For the most part it was pretty amazing. The servers weren't too laggy… they were def stable considering all of the people that were trying to play. I myself found playing for the majority of the weekend. Hell, I even took off on Friday just so I could get more playing time in.

So from 11 in the morning on Thursday until 6:30pm on Sunday night…I probably played about 10-15 hours. Which is a crazy amount of wow hours for me...but hey, I had to check everything out and there was alot to check out.

First thing I did when I logged into the xpan was to create an Death Knight and to see what they are about. I have to say that blizzard did an excellent job putting together the quest line for the death knights. I really don't want to write anymore about it because I don't want to reveal any spoilers. However, I do want to say that I think everyone should make one and complete the initial quest line for them. That way DK's won't be such a mystery to people and they will see one of the coolest, well put together events that Blizzard has ever done. Trust me, I been around since UBRS was considered "end game" and MC wasn't even created.

ok...now onward

I really like the concept of the Death Knight and MORE important, they are alot of fun. So I did spend a good majority of my wow time this week playing my DK. I got him to level 61 and I spec'd him the majority frost. One of the funniest moments is when I was killing a boar in the outlands when I got asked what spec I was. When I replied frost I was invited to a Ramps group and summoned within 10 seconds. As I looked at the group setup, 4 DK's and a healer, I realized that they wanted me to TANK!

O snapfu! I warned the group that I will probably suck at tanking beforehand, but they said it was cool. It was a little rough at first...but then it got better. I kept aggro the majority of the time. Afterwards we decided to do a BF run, in which I tanked and kept aggro on everything. So the moral of this story is that I am very impressed on how fun DK's are....especially tanking.

So I had to check out the new land, it was my duty as a horde! So I decided to send my mage to the Tundra and my Paladin to Howling Fjord. I decide to level my paladin first and started with all the quests in the Howling Fjord. I like how blizzard changed up their quests and their environment artwork. Everything looked alot different environment wise, which I thought was a positive thing.

In regards to the quests, there was the normal go kill (x) and bring me back 6 (body parts of x). There were also the different quests that were all related into completing a common goal, killing the Alliance npcs. I turned off my "instant quest" option and read all of the quests, I got into the lore and it really was quite amazing. I had alot of fun diving into a fictional world and strategically destorying your enemy. Maybe its not different and I just think it is because of all the new stuff...who knows...any thoughts?

The last cool thing that I did on wow over the weekend is to get to the Magical City of Dalaran. One of the mages in my guild ported a couple of us there and let me say this...That city is FREAKING Confusing. It took me every bit of 5 minutes trying to find the Flight path guy that was marked on my map. However, when I was there I obtained an Armored Bear Mount. This mount is freaking amazing in my opinion and it only cost me 750g. At the same vendor you could also purchase a 3 person Wooly Mammoth and a flying mount that works in Northrend. The Mammoth is going to cost you 20,000 gold (lower with rep) and the flying mount was 2000 gold.

So after I got my mount, I decided to do a little exploring to see what this new land had in store for me. Enjoy the screenshots and what do you think about the xpan?

Sleep deprieved WotLK thoughts of day one...

So I had to work last night from Midnight - 8am. So I when I got off this morning I went and picked up my copy of the xpan. I get home and open it and realize...OMG

Its a DVD....not the usual 4 cd-roms like the other two games. F'N A!! My desktop doesn't have a dvd reader on it!

I know, I need to upgrade...nonetheless...

So I had to use my laptop to see the contents of the dvd. Then show the hidden files and finally copied it to an external hard drive. Then I loaded it on to my desktop computer and installed the game! WOOT...it actually worked....but if I didn't have my laptop or the external hard drive...

well...it would have been bad...I probably would have injured myself hitting a solid surface lol

Enjoy the screenshots while I get some sleep....

Decisions, Decisions...

Morning blog lovers, (which is probably only me lol)

I have a tough decision to make. I will spare you most of the details but I acquired my shammy from a co-worker that was quitting the game. He was level 68 when I took over the account and I leveled him to 70. I know what your thinking...

Dr. Wang! That is cheating! Level your own shammy and stop being a noob

...I know, but if it makes you feel better I have a level 53 shammy on a pve sever. It was my first character on my first server way back in the days of 2004. Before I rerolled to a real server ..cough.. pvp server ..cough..

So Blizzard's rule is that you can't transfer a toon from a pve to a pvp server. So think what you will but that is the situation and I was pretty excited to get to play a shaman again. This all happened around March '08 and I been playing him ever since. I really only like the restro aspect of the shaman. I think the big chain heals and raid healing is alot more fun then my other healing toon, my pally. He is in all Kara/ZA healing gear and I really like the new talents, especially Riptide

On my original account, I have my Mage and my Pally. I don't know which of the three toons I would make my main and in a perfect world, would probably level them all at a similar pace. Thus, my dilemma, which to upgrade to WotLK first?!? Should just upgrade both of the accounts at the same time? I really don't want to spend the money up front so fast.

I guess I will just retired my shammy for awhile and get back into playing my mage. Which is very fun, don't get me wrong...its just sad.../sniffle

So this weekend I found a kara pug and ended up getting a freaking amazing item from the new boss. He drops the same thing everytime so you should know about it, the Arcanite Ripper.

First off it was a huge upgrade for my Ret set on my pally, which I was currently spec'd. The weapon I had was a noob blue polearm from regular Mech.

I think it had like 94 dps or something along those lines. The Arcanite Ripper has 120 dps and more crit, plus its PURPLE...I mean come on, everyone loves purple.

The coolest thing about it is that it has a special hidden ability to turn you into an Undead Rock star and the weapon turns into a Guitar. You get a buff called "Time to melt some faces" and you rock out with this guitar for 10 seconds. Its an amazingly fun item to have and I know I will always have it no matter how many upgrades I end up getting. I took like 15 screenshots at various points around the world......of warcraft and decided the above one was the best.

On to other news...I am also pretty upset about missing the invasion or the attacking of the scourge. I been around for a couple of similar previous events and they were super fun. I recall a time a couple years ago where a GM decided out of the blue, he was going to attack Org with this huge flying bug. He was just dropping everyone's hp to like 3% and moving the the next person until there was enough people to fight him...then he actually started killing everyone...we got him down though and it was a very fun experience. If I remember correctly, it was like 2-3am lol...completely random. Hopefully I will be around if they attack again. That is if the servers decided they will cooperate.

Today, I received a message from Gamestop stating to come join them for the midnight release of the WotLK. They told me to dress up as my favorite character and I am pretty upset that I can't make it to the midnight sale. Unfortunately, I work from Midnight til 8am...so weaksauce to that. I think it would be hilarious to see all of the wowheads dressed up and even though it would be completely and utterly dorky....that doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun lol.

I have to say I completely agree with our friends at wowinsider.com. Here is what they had to say -

Lets all say a silence prayer that the servers will not do what they did today (offline all day) when WotLK goes live. We kinda want to play the expansion when it comes out

Amen to that brother - wtfspaghetti is behind ya /pray

wow blogger achievements and new contributors!

Yes, it has happened. I have unlocked my very first WoW Blogger's Achievement. I am pretty excited about it and hope there are more to come. If you don't know what I am talking about...(Where have you been?!?)...then check out pinkpigtails inn's blog for a full explanation.

I think its a pretty cool thing to do. At the very least it fun to talk about and since I am a freshly new WoW blogger. Its something that I would make my blog better, which is always a good thing.

So there you have it....back to other news...

wtfspaghetti now has two new contributors to the blog, DJ Paul and Nuggs. Both of them have been playing WoW since 2004. You know there wasn't even battlegrounds back in those days right? hah

Nuggs was the first person that got me hooked on this drug we call warcraft. His view points are a little strange and we freaking love it that way. Nuggs mostly does pve and raids everything up to Sunwell. His current main is a protection pally and I know I look forward to all of his comments / posts....mostly because they crack me up.

DJ Paul is someone that I go to with all of my WoW questions. He is the most knowledgeable person on WoW that I see in real life on a regular basis. He mainly focuses on the PvP aspect of the game and has a Warlock and a Priest. Paul is also heavily addicted to fantasy football and is in my FF league. Currently, he is in 1st place, but that will change soon.

In either event, I would like to welcome these contributors to wtfspaghetti. I know they make the blog better.....hopefully we can keep this blog going so we could get some more "Achievements"...

...and so I won't be as bored at work =P

Ultima Online and the future of MMORPG'S

The original Ultima Online was a great game. I would really like to see an mmorpg in the future bring back a few concepts that UO had but have been dropped from every game since.

1. I want a non-item based MMO. While it is always fun to get your new epix, I think in the end it really detracts from the gaming experience. It becomes a race to keep up with the Joneses. You end up spending far more time trying to equip your character than you do actually doing something you enjoy. Some level of item progression is fine, I think UO got it right with the difference between the gm blacksmith weapons and armor. Of course you were better off in full gm gear, but a good naked guy would beat the bad player in full gm gear every time.

2. I want real risk. (well, real fake risk) part of the thrill of old-school UO was the fact that if you died out in the wild, more than likely you lost all your stuff. It really added an element of excitement that cannot be replicated by a long walk back to your body. This obviously would never work in the current equipment based mmo market, but hey we are changing that with #1.

3. I want player created and controlled conflict. the guild warfare system in UO was stellar. You declare war on a guild, they accept. You are now free to attack anyone in that guild anywhere in the game world. This started insane rivalries between guilds. The big pvp guilds on servers declared war on everyone they could and would roam the streets and dungeons looking for fights, inevitably another guild would hear about where they were and come retaliate. You really ended up having a pretty well defined good guys and bad guys.

4. I want player housing. If you never played UO you really have no idea what this adds to game play. In a game where nothing you carry on you is safe. it is imperative you have a base of operations. YOUR HOUSE! there were many houses available, anything from a 1 room shack to a huge keep. This goes right hand in hand with #3. You rally up your guild-mates and go to an opposing guilds HQ and start camping it. Eventually they will rally and you have an epic battle on your hands. You end up having player made hot spots.

I would really like to see some of these things come back. Not implemented EXACTLY like UO, but really they were fantastic concepts and they seem to have been thrown to the wayside in favor of more grinds and farming. Who really wants to do that?

How to max the WoW

So... it's the 14th and you want to stay up for the next 3 to 5 days in a row and get them server firsts.

I know what you're thinking, "Nuggs I can't stay up that long. My brain will start to die and I'll auto run my toon into some Uber-possum or Elite Skeleton hopped up on methamphetamines.

All I can say to that is stop being a child and play the game like a adult.

Things you will need

--Caffeine and lots of it. You'll need enough to shatter an Elephant's circulatory system if taken in one dose.

My Orginal title!

Its actually not original at all but that is ok lol. I still think its cool even though everyone and their MAMA has it. Does this mean that everyone is trying to complete the all of the World Event Achievements to get the rare drake? IF that is true I guess it wouldn't be too rare now would it?

I read an interesting article on wowinsider that stated when you install WotLK, it will wipe out the 3.0 patches...which would SUCK because that would mean you had to redownload the 135mg file on laggy servers. So do yourself a favor and copy and paste them somewhere that won't get deleted once you install WotLK. So there you have it...a friendly FYI from your local blogger, Dr. Wang.

Also, if you don't want to get excited about WotLK....then DO NOT watch this video...because it basically rocks my face. Enjoy

If you a nerd - You will laugh at this

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I’ve tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE ,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and don’t forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your systemresources.)Also do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck,
Tech Support

Week 10 Pick'em

So my neat format for my weekly NFL Pick'em with the pictures ISN'T WORKING! How homo! Everytime I publish the post it looks all funky and after 20 mins of trying to fix it...I decided screw that format

Here are my Week 10 NFL Pick'em (This is where you get excited)

Thursday Night - 7:15pm - Paul Brown Stadium
Denver Broncos @ Cleveland Browns
This game is such a toss up its not even funny. Unproven QB, Brady Quinn, will make his first career start in front of a national audience. He might do good, he might suck it up. I am willing to bet he does decent, but his WR's still drop the most catches in the NFL. Denver started out RED HOT this year and have since being blowing ass. Their defense is horrible and now they are playing without their top two defensmen, DB Champ Bailey and MLB DJ Williams. The Browns win this game by a touchdown

Sunday - Noon - Solider Field
Tennessee Titans @ Chicago Bears
All I have to say about this game is that the Titans are the only undefeated team in the NFL and the Bears have to start Rex Grossman. Nough said...Titans win this one by 14

Sunday - Noon - Georgia Dome
New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons
No Reggie Bush this week, he is still rehabbing - Pretty tough stuff there brother. Anyway, this is my upset of special of the week. I think the Saints are going to take the running game away and Mr. Rookie of the Year is going to light their soft secondary up. Dirty birds by 3

Sunday - Noon - Gillette Stadium
Buffalo Bills @ New England Pats
Big, big game. Winner will more then likely take over 1st place in the division. I still do not think that the Pats are a playoff team without Brady. I also think that Buffalo is a playoff team...that being said I am going with the Bills by 10

Sunday - Noon - Dolphin's Stadium
Seattle Seahawks @ Miami Dolphins
Easy pick here. Seattle is horrible and Miami just won a big game last week @ Denver. I see the Dolphins getting on a roll and I don't think that Seneca Wallace or Charlie Frye is going to stop them.

Sunday - Noon - Ford Field
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Detroit Lions
After losing to Cincy last week, the Jags playoff hopes are dead. So I can see this game being big for Detroit. I don't want to get crazy and actually pick the Lions lol....but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they won. Jags win by 3

Sunday - Noon - Reliant Stadium
Baltimore Ravens @ Houston Texans
The Texans played like crap against the Vikings last week. Hopefully they have a big day against the Texans....I just dont see that happening. Ray Ray's team should win by 7

Sunday - Noon - Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
Another big divisional playoff game. The Packers are allowing 146.4 rushing yards per game right now. That is pretty scary when you have to play the Vikings....but Aaron Rogers is in Beastmode right now. I think the Green Bay Packers are the better team, so I am picking them. Green Bay by 10.

Sunday - Noon - Giants Stadium
St. Louis Rams @ New York Jets
Ok, lets get real here....The Jets beat Buffalo last week by 10 and lost to the god awful Raiders the week before that. So which team is going to show up this week? Really...its what QB is going to show up this week, Brett or Favre. Rams are out their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string RBs - That spells distaster for a play-action team like the Rams. Jets win by 17

Sunday - 3:15pm - McAfee Coliseum
Carolina Panthers @ Oakland Raiders
How horrible to JaMarcus Russel look last week? Check out this stat...Last week at halftime, the Raiders only had 13 offensive plays, No first downs and -3 total yards!! That was against Atlanta by the way...lol. I mean that is like playing Madden against someone that has never played before and is drunk. Panthers win by three touchdowns

Sunday - 3:15pm - Qualcomm Stadium
Kansas City Chiefs - San Diego Chargers
ATTENTION L.T. FANTASY OWNERS - He is going to blow up this week. Really...there is no way the Chiefs can win this game. If they do win, then Norv Turner should be fired....real talk

Sunday - 3:15pm - Heinz Field
Indianapolis Colts @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Its pretty sad to say....but I think I am turning into a Steelers fan. Their defense is fun to watch and their offensive is being run by a former starter, Leftwich. I will never say that the Colts don't have a chance because they have Peyton...but I am going with the Steelers at home. Steelers win by 10.

Sunday - 7:15pm - Lincoln Financial Field
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles
New York Giants are the best team in the NFL right now. You could argue that fact, but you can't argue that are the in the top two. The Eagles do have everyone healthy and it is a divisional game at Philly. I still can't give it to Philly tho...Giants win by 3

Monday - 7:15pm - University of Phoenix Stadium
San Fransisco 49er's @ Arizona Cardinals
Who scheduled this ugly game on Monday night...ewwh. San Fran should lose this game, Arizona is playing too good right now to mess up on National T.V.

I will update this early next week. Think you can beat me? Submit your own and we shall see!

RE: Week 9 NFL Pick'em Results

I didn't do terrible....but I definitely didn't do great either. I ended week 9 with a record of 8-6. I mean who would of thought that the Jags would have lost to win less Cincy. Did you see the second touchdown pass that Ocho Cinco caught? It reminded me of Chad Johnson, not this new guy, Mr. Ocho Cinco...check it out here

By far the best play that came out of week 9 was curiosity of the KC Chiefs. So what if they copied off of the Dolphin's Wildcat or Angry Dolphin formation. I dont know why every team isn't running at least a couple plays out of it a game. I still can't believe that the career WR threw the ball with a perfect spiral while running. Got to love it, see it for yourself here

Reminder that this is the last week of Byes in the NFL. This week the teams that are on bye are the Bengals, Cowboys, Bucs, and the Redskins. The trade deadline for most fantasy teams is Nov 14th. So this is the last week really to get a trade done. You should have a pretty good idea by now if your team is going to make the fantasy playoffs in your league. Anything could happen but it never hurts to start looking towards favorable matchups during the playoff weeks, Week 15 and 16.

Check out this chart I got from the gentlemen over at Yahoo Sports. You should definietly take a look at it if you think you have a shot at makig the playoffs. I mean cause hey, all you have to do is make the playoffs. After that anything can happen....amirite? damn right

Check out this chart I stole from the Yahoo fantasy guys and happy hunting

Back in the day....

Morning blog lovers...

Nothing like a Monday morning....freaking sucks. On a good note though, Monday Night Football is on and should be a really good game. On another good note I am pretty sure that I won in all 4 of my fantasy football teams. That has only happened once this year and that was week 1. Can you believe we are more then half way through football season? Pretty sad truthfully

WotLK is right around the corner....2 weeks from tomorrow I think....anyway, It got me thinking of when "TBC" was the new expansion and how everything was changing. So I went through a bunch of super old screenshots of Vanilla WoW or WoW Classic, whatever you call it.

Back in the day... 40 man raids were the norm and having 7k hp meant you were not to be F'd with! When Silithus was filled with high level toons world pvping and farming Twilight Texts. When it wasn't uncommon for an AV to last for 6 hours and you like it that way! When you did countless runs of Black Rock Mountain; whether it was the humongous BRD, the locked UBRS or the hated LBRS...and who could forget the Mighty Molten Core!!!

Ah....all good memories, most of the best memories from playing this game was from those times. Not to say I didn't like TBC expansion or that I am not excited for the WotLK, but its important to remember your roots!

So today, all you old timers....tell these young wipper snappers about the good ol'days where there weren't any welfare epics. You either raided with 39 other people for loot or you pvp'd your way up the ranks. Which meant a grind of 30-40 hours a week for 3-4 months to obtain a high ranking and epic gear. Start the rant off with this...

Listen here young'n, back in the day....
