Game Launch Incoming! The beta phases have come and gone. Everyone has had the opportunity to play the game by now and probably already made their minds up if they are going to buy the game or not.

I personally will be buying the game. Its quick, simple, and FUN shooter game. I think Blizzard did a great job of making the game fun and challenging for both super casual and very competitive players a like. The fast pace, different roles, and variety of unique characters are the main thing that I love about the game. This article is not to talk about that though. It is going to take the awesome game that is already developed and add a few things that would make the it even better...

...in my opinion at least. Since I am the one writing the article and one of the few people that read will read it, my opinion is super important MMKAY!?!

These are my 3 big improvements about the game.

Progression & Challenge System

Multiplayer Only Games

Play of the Match

Progression & Challenge System

Overwatch kinda has them. Basically you level up as you play and when you reach a new level, you get a lootbox (or buy one with micro-transactions). The lootbox contains a variety of options for a specific character....and there are TONS of options...like up to 70 different items per character.

There are in-game coins that can be used to by any item that you can get in lootboxes as well. So if you really want a specific item. You can save up your in-game currency and buy it when you get enough.

There is also a Ranked mode which is unlocked at level 25 which I think Blizzard is hoping that a large amount of the population will play. I am not sold at ALL with that thinking. Typically competitive FPS modes are played the least. Most of the players just want to jump in a few games and own a bunch of noobs. I guess we shall see how it plays out but I am not optimistic.

There are challenges and achievements in the game, but it is pretty small when you compare it to what it could be. Here is a full list.

I don't have any problem with the current lootbox system. I think it is fine as is, but I really wish there was something to show / grind for to prove your commitment to playing. The possibilities are endless...

Example
Challenge - Get 500 kills as Widowmaker
Reward - A Player Icon

You can have this type of challenge / reward for all characters. You could even then have a challenge that says once you get 500 kills with every Defensive character, you get a special skin tint or gun skin....something silly and cool like that. This is the kind of stuff that I really like and keeps me playing in multiplayer games. In order to get the shiny reward, you have to put in the time to get it. You set a goal and it feels GOOD once you complete it. You get that accomplished feeling. It is the same type of system that Blizzard uses in its other games and I am not really sure why it wasn't really a main focus in this one.

Another positive thing about a challenge system like this is that it adds a whole new reason to play the game. The game is fun, but it can get repetitive after a while. I started to get that feeling about 10 hours in or so during the open beta. I still wanted to play, but I got kinda bored.

No biggie, I just played another game for a little bit and then went back to Overwatch. After a few hours though, again it got kinda stale for me. I'm still having fun, but it would be nice if there was a huge challenge list I can focus on that will make playing the game more enjoyable.

I want some sort of grind. It keeps the game fresh and is also fun. Black Ops 3 is a great example of something that could easily be implemented and put into the game. I mean look at all of these....its a crazy amount. Obviously Call of Duty has alot of challenges that just wouldn't work in Overwatch, but they also have a ton would work PERFECTLY in the game.

Example
Challenge - Receive the most MVP votes at the end of the game 100 times
Reward - Something totally badass and shiny that you can use to win arguments on internet forums with!

I just want more grind-oriented challenges and rewards that proves that I have invested alot of time into the game. I think it will make this already fun game, more enjoyable for a longer amount time.

....speaking of time and possibility getting bored. On to my second point....

Multiplayer Only Games

Are they doomed? Remember all the hype around Titanfall? I sure as hell do. I played the game for two weeks straight and then never again. Now, to be fair, I like Overwatch and have already played way more of it then I ever did of Titanfall....but the point still remains.

Does a Multiplayer Only game that is not FREE have a certain lifetime? Pretty silly question....of course all games have a certain life time. It is VERY rare that multiplayer game has a healthy player base for a long time. I feel fairly confident that since Blizzard is the developer and has already announced that new maps and heroes added to the game will be FREE...that the game will be fine for years to come.

...but still, I remember Titanfall. I couldn't believe how hyped I was and how I little I actually played.

It does not appear that I am alone in this thought process. Force made a video on the subject and as always, brought up some great points / food for thought. Check it out.

Play of the Match

First off, what a fucking awesome feature from the developers. Seriously, well done. My only gripe with it is that it gets tweaked to show more "play-maker" players instead of just kill feeds. They already stated they feel roughly the same way and are trying to make it better...so I feel pretty good about that.

Support and Utility players needs some love as well Blizz! One of my favorite Plays of the Game. Oh my...just oh my.

Can't wait for the game to drop in a few games. I need it in my life!

Overwatch Ramblings, Learning Curve, and My AH HA! Moment

It is strange when you get lucky enough to be in a closed beta of a highly anticipated game. I was excited and played the crap out of it. That being said, I didn't put the amount of time anywhere close compared to others. I personally got to level 23 and I want to say that had about 20 to 30 hours of gameplay.

The learning curve was steep for me and I was very bad until it all clicked. The whole time I was playing I couldn't figure out why I was below average when it came to this game. I didn't understand it. I am not a bad FPS player. I normally average 1 to 1.5 kills to death ratio in all of the other FPS games I play. WHAT GIVES OVERWATCH?!?!!1!?

Well, it is because Overwatch will actually punish you if you try to play it like you are not apart of a team. Seriously, it will chew you up and spit your punk ass out. Don't get what I am saying twisted....there are some characters (Tracer for example) that want to go off, do their own thing, and be an utter annoyance to the enemy team...but even then there is a time and place for it.

However, most characters are not designed to be played like that. In this Overwatch blog post I linked Gamespot's three part video series on "The Story of Overwatch". It talks about a lot of cool stuff, but one thing that I found rather interesting is the design choice to not put a Team Death Match (TDM) mode in the game.

I thought to myself....yeah...why isn't there a TDM in this game? I mean, I can't remember another FPS game that I played and enjoyed this much that didn't have the option available. It is an absolute standard in FPS games.

The development team basically said fuck that. They brought up the fact that all TDM really means is that you can't kill half of the players in the match. Overwatch is designed to be all about teamwork and TDM is essentially a Free For All that promotes non-team game play. That is why all four game modes in Overwatch require a large amount of team-play and working together to accomplish the map objective.

Once you realize this and start tuning your own game play around it, you will start getting MUCH better at this game. I went from about a 40% win percentage to around 60% just by changing my mindset from the Call of Duty solo warrior to the Overwatch team tactician.

Madden 16

It is well documented how I feel about the NFL the last few months. Prior to that I played the "Ultimate Team" mode in Madden 2016 for a solid 5 months straight....with really no other games in the mix.

It was quite the addiction. At my highest rank, I was in the top 1% of the Madden players. I never won a Super Bowl in that league, but needless to say, I was pretty damn good. My team was never amazing, but always good enough to win against any team - even the super crazy teams.

Since I haven't played in awhile and don't really plan to I decided to do a little giveaway on the Madden Ultimate Team sub-reddit. Anyone that plays on the PS4 can enter and all they have to do is post in the thread something that will make me laugh at a chance at 100k gold (in-game currency).

So far the entries have been top notch. My current favorite is http://imgur.com/gallery/OqRDvj5. It is a long GIF image...so I don't want to embed it but it is totally worth checking out. DO IT!!!

I converted the rest of my coin stash into MUTHead currency called MHC. EA actually supports it and it is not against their rules or anything. So maybe if I decide to play Madden again I can turn my MHC credits back into in game gold. Better then it all going to waste right?

Even though they are both FPS (First Person Shooter) games with a variety of characters that fulfill a certain role on the team (tank, damage dealer, support)....they are pretty damn different.

Here is what I will be <strike>ranting</strike> talking about in this post:

WTF are you talking about? Overview / Summary of Battleborn and Overwatch

Why I don't think it is fair at all to compare the two games

Why I will be purchasing Overwatch and not Battleborn

????

Boobs

WTF are you talking about? Overview / Summary of Battleborn and Overwatch

So I could write a lot in this section. The main points I want you to take from this are as follows.

They are both a hero / class based FPS game with teamwork being the most important skill / aspect to have.

Battleborn plays like a standard MOBA game. Slower paced, methodical game-play with gear and talent systems.

Overwatch plays like Team Fortress 2. Never played Team Fortress 2? Think Call of Duty but with classes and a huge importance on teamwork. It's fast paced with simple and straight forward map objectives.

Comparing the two games just isn't right...

Watch both of small trailers I posted below. The rest of this section won't make as much sense if you don't watch the short clips, SO DO IT RIGHT MEOW!

It is a pretty common thought or question to have after you watch the trailers to ask which one is better. It is also logical to think that they would play similar enough that if you are interested in the concept of a hero based FPS game, it's probably best to just get one of them.

As I mentioned above, they just play too different to me and it just doesn't feel right comparing them. I saw this short video from a YouTube Creator and while I don't agree with everything he has to say...the overall point he is making I do agree with. You should not compare these games.

The main part that I disagree with is how he made it seem that Overwatch doesn't have much strategy to it.

He stated at one point "...you just load in and start fighting people".

While at a casual level I believe this statement is very true. However, the more skilled you get at playing the game, the more complex it gets, the more strategy really comes into play. Overwatch is a game where you can switch characters as many times as you want in a match (after a death). If the enemy team has a composition that your team is having problems with, you can switch to another character (maybe one with a different role) to counter them. There is so much back and forth that happens at higher levels of game-play. It is extremely rewarding and fun.

Check out this guys video. It is short, to the point, and really sums up this section.

Why I will being buying Overwatch and not Battleborn

It is not because I don't like Battleborn and its not because I think Battleborn is too similar to Overwatch. It is because Battleborn is a match-up of different genres and I don't think that it is fun enough to purchase. In other words, I don't think the fun factor will last long enough to buy.

Let me explain.

I have played A LOT of FPS games in my day. When it comes to multiplayer FPS games, I gravitate to the fast paced ones that have games last about 5 to 10 minutes. There are tons of examples of this - Titanfall, Gotham City Imposters, and the Call of Duty series.

I also have a lot of experience playing MOBA games. I played League of Legends (LoL) for a few years and I am currently playing Heroes of the Storm (HotS) a lot. I love the genre in general but I really enjoy the flavor of HotS due to the quicker pace, more team fighting, and shorter games (20 minutes).

Overwatch is a great fit for the FPS games that I like. It is face paced, it has a high skill cap, there are fun and unique role based characters....it's right up my alley. I was lucky enough to get in the beta and I loved it. Easy purchase for me. I will play the crap out of it.

Battleborn isn't fun enough to me to surpass playing Overwatch in a FPS sense. It also isn't fun enough for me to surpass a standard MOBA game like HotS to me. Therefore, I really don't have much reason to buy or play it. The single player campaign looks fun enough to rent a few times or to buy once it goes on sale...but that is kinda how I feel about it.

Hopefully my point and everything that I wrote to explain it makes sense. If not...ummm my bad?

The last time I got this excited for a documentary / journalism piece in the gaming world was when I was SUPER into the professional League of Legends scene. It was a piece on one of my favorite teams at the time, EU based Fnatic.

The documentary series was top fucking notch. Each episode focused on a specific person on the team (including coaching staff) and MOST importantly talked about their life outside of competition. They really knocked it out of the park and I watched every single episode. The documentary series was called Life of Legends. Here is a YouTube Link if you are at all interested.

ANYWAY! I went off on a tangent, what a shocker....

This is what gaming journalism is all about. It asks all of the normal questions about game design choices and mindset. It has one on one interviews with the developers...you know, all that normal stuff....but this series DOES SO MUCH MORE THEN THAT.

It does a fantastic job of walking you through how the failure of Blizzard's "Titan" project lead all of these developers into a depression. They went back to the drawing board, focused on what they thought was FUN in a game, collaborated, and what came out of it was Overwatch. I can't give the series enough credit and it made me into an instant subscriber of their YouTube channel.

Each part is roughly 20 minutes long. I highly suggest all of them. DOOO ITTTT!

It is kinda weird that a MOBA game that I have been playing on again / off again since it's alpha phase has not been mentioned once on my blog...but that ends TODAY.

I have a few ideas for future posts about this game, but I needed to let ALL OF THE GLORIOUS, MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF WTFSPAGHETTI FANS KNOW...

...ahem

Blizzard has announced that every single hero in the game, Heroes of the Storm, will be completely available to play for FREE starting now through the weekend.

That's right....FULL ROSTER at everyone's fingertips. I absolutely love that Blizzard is doing this type of thing. I don't care that it is a promotion for their finals of the "Heroes of the Dorm" series. I hope it works like charm and attracts metric tons of new players to the game.

New to the game? NO WORRIES BROS. I got you

New player yourself? Good news! The game is FREE. You can follow this recruit link if you like to download, and start playing. Its kinda worth it as well as you get two free heroes and some other bonus if you join using the "Recruit a Friend" program.

Here are a few VERY useful guides for new players. Especially if you are transiting from League of Legends or another MOBA game.

- Welcome to the Nexus! A Basic Guide to Heroes of the Storm
- Transition to the Nexus! Adjusting to Heroes of the Storm from other MOBAs

So if there is ever a time to try the game out or come back, why not have it during a time where every single Hero is available to play?

AMIRITE?
Let's be honest here. It's been way too long since you updated your desktop wallpaper. We all know it and as your friend, we are concerned about you.

Keep it fresh man!

Change is a good thing and updating my desktop wallpaper is something that I find a lot of joy doing. I can't really explain why either...it just feels right you know? I enjoy finding new wallpapers, its sorta a hobby of mine.

A few years ago I found the holy grail of Desktop Wallpaper sites. The site was called wallbase.cc and it was a beautiful thing. Here is a link to my blog post if you are interested In fact here is a custom link that will show all of my Desktop Wallpaper posts. Pretty nifty shit right there.

Anyway...MOVING ON

Long story short...wallbase.cc is no longer there. Like, its gone. RIP and all that noise. Such a waste of great community, seriously sad stuff. However, after awhile a new site popped up trying to reclaim some of the awesomeness that was wallbase.cc!

New Site - http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/

Is it amazing like wallbase? No, but it is getting there. The more people that know about the site and attribute to it, the better. Check it out if you are interested and find you one of those new fancy wallpapers to update your desktop with ya hear?!

Here are some of my most recent favorites. Until next time....

I have no idea why I love this mixtape. I used to play the SHIT out of it back in the day.

Nasty Boy / Purple Haze is probably my favorite track, but I love the whole album. Sadly I think that I am one of the few that did because I have never heard anyone else talk about it. Music Matchups are a strange thing...especially two super different genres like Jimi Hendrix and Biggie.

I mean LOOK AT THAT ALBUM COVER ART and tell me you are not in love?!?! Here, let me post it again for your viewing pleasure.
A part of my soul has been crushed and over the last few months has been slowly dying.

DONT WORRY PEOPLE.

This isn't a sad, boohoo, woe is me, post. I just feel like I should get my thoughts out there on a major change in my life and a major shift in one of my main hobbies.

"95% of this blog is about my addiction to video games. The other 5% is a mishmash of the chaos that is my brain and it's thoughts...which is mostly mindless entertainment like sports (MMA & NFL), TV series, sexy females, and hearing random stories that are thought provoking and entertaining"

That is what the description of my blog states. I have always been a fan of sports, but really....it was about 90% NFL and 10% everything else. I absolutely loved the NFL and what got me into the sport was when the LA Rams moved to St. Louis in 1994. Previous to that, I liked the sport, but it was just meh...whatever. I am from St. Louis and the grand majority of sport fans in the city is for baseball. The St. Louis Cardinals are fucking everywhere here and dominates the sport news. It was pretty hard to get into the NFL in that kind of environment. However, when the Rams came to STL....it was all bets off. I slowly became addicted to everything NFL.

Over the last two seasons the possibility of them moving back to LA has been the main topic with me. Then it actually happened. I was legitimately shocked and even though I thought I prepared myself for that outcome...it hurt ALOT.

This post isn't to rehash those bad feelings though. It is about a void and what in the hell am I going to fill it with? I mean fuck man, it has been 20 years!

I thought that I was a big enough fan of my Rams to survive a move back to LA. However, I am totally feeling and acting like a jealous EX lover. If I read or hear anything about the NFL or the Rams I just can't help but to feel the following...

FUCK YOU, FUCK YOUR PRODUCT. I HOPE YOUR FAIL AND I GENERALLY HOPE YOU NEVER FIND HAPPINESS...

Pretty crazy right? I don't know to explain it or why I react that way....it just happens. I am very interested in how I will react once NFL seasons starts again. Will I get back into it miraculously or will the RAGEY EX-LOVER emotions continue? I am assuming it will be somewhere in the middle and that I will slowly lose interest in anything related to the NFL. That is my hope anyway because who wants to have those angry and hurt feelings forever? Not this guy....that is damn sure.

Insert Witty and Random Topic Change Title Here!

I was talking to a friend recently about blogging. It brought up memories of how much I enjoyed creating something and writing random shit. Too bad I live a pretty boring life and with being a stereotypical family man now, my free time is used to play video games and reading stupid shit on Internet sites like Reddit.

We shall see how it goes... First things first though. I must update my blog with new pictures and get around to changing my blog description!

DAT BROW DOE

If there was a vote for NBA MVP through the 1st month of the regular season, chances are Anthony Davis would get plenty of votes. He has been a dominant force for the New Orleans Pelicans, and the 21-year-old seems to only get better and better every single game. While he might not have that dynamic personality many people are used to seeing from a superstar, he does have a distinguishable feature that has become marketable. For better or worse, Anthony Davis is going to be known as Unibrow (or, for short, The Brow).

It might seem weird to a lot of people that eyebrows that merge together to form one big one on a player’s face is a marketable asset. However, people quickly realized that it was not a joke but instead something he was going to embrace when he decided to file for a trademark. It has been mentioned or eluded to in quite a few different advertisements for him at the beginning of his career. Much like players known for facial hair or a unique hairstyle, this is another way to differentiate Anthony Davis from other players in the NBA. Oh yeah, he also just happens to be the best individual player in the NBA so far this year from a statistical standpoint. He is a fantasy basketball standout in nearly every single category

Sometimes, it can be difficult for a young player to develop some sort of identity in the NBA. It does not seem to be much of an issue for a guy such as Davis right now. There might be some people who feel like he needs to develop more of a personality instead of relying on his singular eyebrow, but that will probably come in time. In advertisements, he has been able to also work on developing a stoic, deadpan type of humor similar to Tim Duncan or Blake Griffin. Both of those players are doing just fine, and they don’t even have that unique look.WTFspaghettihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10304180361553774455noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574352165119565010.post-36229754725959227392014-07-07T13:41:00.000-05:002014-07-08T20:44:17.828-05:00LoL Hiatus, Diablo 3, and Other Random Nonsense! realized this sad fact about myself, I decided it was time to take a break. I
didn’t uninstall the game per se…but I did make a conscience decision to STOP

Titanfall released.

done with it. It wasn't that fun to me and I still can’t figure out why
exactly. My best guess is that I am pretty much done with the standard FPS game

all of the changes they made rocked my face. I was a fan of the original D3 and

play both, I highly suggest you update the movement keys in D3 to match LoL.
Both of the games are very reliant on mouse clicking. D3 uses left click for
moving and LoL uses right click for moving. My brain doesn’t compute jumping
back and forth, so for now I am just going to stick it out with LoL.

I was kinda sad that my main champion got a lot of work done to dethrone him from OP status. The good old fat man that drinks beer is
still usable, just nowhere need as powerful as he once was. Coming back from a
long break I figure it’s a good time to mess around with a variety of champs.
So far I played a few games with Ziggs and Lulu. One thing is certain; I am
very bad at this game. It isn't as easy as it looks and it will take some time to
get back to the skill level I was at before I stopped playing. The nice thing
is that I can go back on my previous blog entries to read up and watch videos
that helped me.

That is some high elo Buddha shit right there people. In my experience, that quote is right on. I wanted to post it here because I am REALLY going to remember that when I start doing PvP matches again. My main goal by far is to not allow my team mates to get a reaction out of me. No matter how illogical they might act, I am really going to try just to focus on getting better and winning games.

Not sure the next time I will blog, but I feel I rambled on quite a bit for one entry. I’ll leave you with a good read on how to become a better player along with a pretty legit quote from a pro player.

Of course game 100 ends with the servers shitting on themselves...I wouldn't have it any other way. What does this mean? I have no clue. I am pretty happy that it isn't a negative ratio. I also feel that in the last 15 or so games, I have REALLY executed well with what I have learned and have made solid strides to becoming a better player. I have only had a few games were I clearly lost my lane and no matter what is happening in the game, I just will work on my goals...CS, team fighting positioning, sieging, timing objectives...and not allow my nerd rage to transfer from my brain to the in-game chat system.

Currently I am half way through level 26 and have noticed that there are atleast 1-2 level 30s in my games now. I feel that I am starting to hang with them, but some of these players have 500+ wins under their belts and it would be an understatement to say that we are on a similar skill level.

I feel like a REAL boy!!

I have only being playing "Draft Pick" and no longer have any intentions to play "Blind Pick" ever again. In my opinion, it is how the game is supposed to be played. Bans, pick orders, team compositions / synergy, and discussion within your team all take place within the Champion Selection screen. In Blind, everyone just argues over who said "insert random role here" first in chat. I am not alone in thinking this way either, Riot does the Ranked queue with a Draft. It just feels right.

It also seems to me that the players that play Draft are normally overall more knowledgeable about the game. In most cases, a more knowledgeable player equals a better player. This is more then likely due to the fact that in order to play Draft, you have to have least spent a decent amount of money on the game. Sure, you could of just grind out the IP and spent it all on Champions. Maybe you are one of the few that Riot has never seen a dime of money from you, but if that is the case you have quite the hefty amount of games under your belt and are probably way better at the game then a noob like myself.

Oh that's right... I am not a NOOB sir, I am a below average player. Get it right fucko!

Champion Selection!!!

One of the many tips that I have read and heard over and over again was to pick atleast two roles and have a few champions within those roles that you are good at. Once you have a good handle on them, branch out in case you are force to play a different role, but always go for your two preferred roles.

Mine? Middle and Support

Middle is normally my first choice, but I do enjoy both of them pretty equally. Maybe middle edges out support slightly, but eh...

As I have mentioned before, in all games, I normally go for magic wielding bad motha fuckas. So the middle lane was an obvious choice. Thrown in a Mage that gains his ability from beer and I may not play another champion EVER. After alot of debate I decided to purchase Gragas and make him my main. I figured that if I am force to play a role outside of mid / support that I could use Gragas in the Jungle and Top lane. I have also watched tons of videos about him...he doesn't really have a down side and looks like a ton of fun.

...did I mention all of his abilities are based off of drinking BEER? Enough said.

He does get banned a decent amount of the time, so I can always fall back to one of my old homies like Malzahar. However, this week Zed is free and I have been playing a few games with him. I have a feeling that if next week's free champion rotation doesn't have a mid laner that I find intriguing, I might just go ahead and buy him. He is a flipping ninja guys...my inner nerd can barely keep it together when I play him.

I tried several times to stop myself, but I just can not, NOT, sing Rob Van Winkle's Ice Ice Baby. I have tried to stop myself yet every game...at some point...it will be said. More then likely out loud and followed by a shoulder shimmy of some sorts. Now that I think about it, maybe its a good thing that I don't have him on my roster!

Dat Support Doe

So I like Mages which makes me a good fit for mid lane, but I also enjoying support classes in RPGs...ie tanking / healing / Crowd Control’n ect…

The game that this blog was centered around for the first few years of its existence was World of Warcraft. My main role that I played, wrote about, and theorycrafted for, was the Healer. I enjoy supporting other players that pew pew the bad guys and LOVED showing people the difference between a good and bad support player…most of the time I was the good kind…most of the time.

For whatever reason, Support is by far the least sought after role in LoL, so it made a lot of sense to make it one of my main roles. I have 4 Support Champions that I am comfortable playing, but only 3 that I really prefer to play. Annie, Blitzcrank, Leona, and Soraka are my roster, but I try to avoid Soraka unless I know that my ADC and I are on the same page. Since I am almost exclusively a solo queue player, Soraka doesn’t get played much.

Recently I have been playing A LOT of Leona. She was on sale last week and I did not hesitate long before I pulled the trigger and picked her up. She is extremely fun to play and her tool kit allows her to be an aggressive super tank. She has flaws, but in each phase of the game (Early, Mid, and Late) she is strong. Not to mention that during team battles, you are the one that initiates the fight! Picking the right moment to jump in and when not to will determine the outcome by itself most of the time. It is uber important and I for one would rather have the responsibility fall on me rather than someone else that has no clue when to and when not to initiate.

Road to 30

I am close. I can feel it. I can SENSE IT!

95% of my friends list is composed of friendly players that I have actually played with during the grind. The sad part is they are almost exclusively level 30 and are enjoying the ranked queue. They don’t have time to play with sub-par level 30 noobs like myself anymore. I did find it interesting that most are in bronze. However, there are a few that are silver and I don’t feel they were any better or knowledgeable then me. I do not see myself being able to grind out of whatever league I am placed in. If I am lucky, I will get 2 games in a night…but that is always influx. With Riot having 5 levels in each division and having to reach 100 points in each to be eligible for promotion, I just don’t think it will be possible.

Hell, it may take me a week just to get my placement matches completed. Well that is about it for now. Until next time people!
Right in your face...and you will love it.

Shit is getting real people. It is finally time for me to talk about my number 1 most anticipated game of 2014, Titanfall.

Most anticipated? Really? Absolutely. I love me some FPS games and considered myself at an above average skill level when it comes to then, especially the Call of Duty franchise series. I put days of gameplay into the series starting with Modern Warfare 2 and going through Black Ops 2. Overall, I had a freaking blast playing those games and very little complaints. I just grew tired of the same of old shit. I can go on and on about why I stop playing the series with Black Ops 2, but I will save you from that rant....

My point is that I enjoyed the fuck out of the Call of Duty series, especially the Infinity Ward titles (Modern Warfare 2 & 3). Without getting into the details, Infinity Ward is still around, but all of the main guys left the company sometime during the development of Modern Warfare 3. They got together and started up their own company called "Respawn" and started creating their baby, thats right, Titanfall.

TL:DR - I like FPS games, especially the Modern Warfare Call of Duty games. The same people that developed / created the MW games made a new company and created Titanfall. Titanfall tickles my fancy.... aggressively

Let Me Break This Thing On Down....

This is taken directly from their wiki - Titanfall is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts as an exclusive for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game was officially announced as Respawn's debut game at Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference, and is scheduled for release on March 11, 2014.

In Titanfall, players fight in online multiplayer-only matches set on a war-torn planet as mech-style Titans and their pilots. Its action is fast-paced, including abilities to run on walls and hijack mechs, and extended periods between player deaths. Respawn describes the game as bringing "scale, verticality, and story" to first-person shooter multiplayer gaming, incorporating elements traditionally used in single-player campaigns. The game uses Microsoft's cloud computing services to offload non-player activity to servers and optimize the home computer for graphical performance.

The game won over 60 awards at its E3 2013 reveal, including a record-breaking six E3 Critics Awards, and Best of Show from several media outlets. It also won official awards at Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show. Many reviewers predicted Titanfall to be the next step for the first-person shooter genre, and IGN's Ryan McCaffrey declared the game "Microsoft's killer app".

I highly suggest you check out the rest of the wiki for more information on it. I am going to touch on some of the main points that I find the most intriguing and have multiple nerd-gasums on the way. Join me!

eh...okay

That is pretty much how I felt about it the first time I saw it. Looks interesting. I like FPS games, but I am not aware of a game that has really nailed down Mech gameplay. It just doesn't seem to work. Then the next day they released a gameplay demo. This is when the game got my attention and never let go. Pretty dope if I don't say so myself. However, I am still a little confused if this was footage from single or multiplayer.

Official Gameplay Trailer

I have probably watched this stupid gameplay video over 30 times in the last 4 months and is the main reason why this game jumped to number 1 on my most anticipated games list. I'll let the gameplay do the talking for me.

Fuck. Yeah.

However, I was still confused if we were watching single or multiplayer action. Some of the aspects seemed very much like a single player mission / campaign while others looked like a PvP match. Well after a few months, we finally got our answer.

This game does not have a single player...

Come again? NO SINGLE PLAYER ACTIONZ?!?1?1! Please point me to the nearest internet forum so I may rage and call this the single most retarted thing that I have ever heard...

I rarely play the single player mode in FPS games in the first place. From my experience they are normally pretty fucking lame with loads of terrible voice acting and plot lines. I think the last one that I played was Black Ops and to be honest...it was only because Ice Cube was one of the main characters lol.

YEAH E YEAHH EEE!

I am completely okay with this game not having single player if they are using all of their resources to make the multiplayer the best that it can possibly be. To the happiness of thousands, that is exactly what Respawn's Vince Zampella stated in an interview with GamesIndustry

"We make these single-player missions that take up all the focus of the studio, that take a huge team six months to make, and players run through it in 8 minutes," he said. "And how many people finish the single-player game? It's a small percentage. It's like, everyone plays through the first level, but 5 percent of people finish the game.

"Really, you split the team. They're two different games. They're balanced differently, they're scoped differently. But people spend hundreds of hours in the multiplayer experience versus 'as little time as possible rushing to the end' [in single-player]. So why do all the resources go there? To us it made sense to put it here. Now everybody sees all those resources, and multiplayer is better. For us it made sense."

I am SO glad they made this choice rather then push back the game another 4-5 months or worst, rush it to production without it being as polished and smooth as it could have been.

We are a few months away from this game being released on Microsoft products. Yes, unfortunately this game is an exclusive to one of the rulers of the world, Microsoft. It will be available only on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

Since my current plan is to purchase and play this game on the PC, I have been paying closer attention then normal to how the gaming servers are setup and what the end user experience will be. The PC version will be hosted through EA's Origin gaming application and servers. Does this make anyone else have an emotion close to the word "ugh" or "gross"? I don't know, but after I bought Battlefield 4 and witnessed first hand all of the issues that came with it on the PC...I am not excited about this at all.

I always planned on purchasing a next generation console and didn't think anything would really persuade me into not purchasing a PS4. However, I got to thinking and realized that personally, it would be pretty silly of me to buy a PS4 when almost all of the games that I want to play are either on the PC or exclusive to Xbox. Lets go through the list in no particular order shall we?

Titanfall - Xbox / PC

Diablo 3 Expansion: Reaper of Souls - PC / PS4

Watchdogs - PS4 / Xbox / PC

South Park: The Stick of Truth - PS4 / Xbox / PC

Tales from the Borderlands - PC

Wildstar - PC

What do all of them have in common? PC! Why buy either of the consoles? I just recently updated my PC within the last year and while I wouldn't consider it a "gaming PC"...it is definitely a solid gaming rig and will be able to play all of the above mentioned games. Just makes the most sense to me.

FIFTH Entry

Entry 5?!? Holy balls people. To my own surprise I am still playing this soul sucking game, League of Legends. Now, when I say still play it, I mean I am playing daily PvP matches and watching streams on Twitch of others playing when I am not.

It's official. I have completely been overtaken by the game and it's community. I have even started to make a few gameplay videos on my YouTube channel and I have only streamed LoL on Twitch for the last month. Overall the videos are very basic and to be honest, don't really offer much other then "here is me playing this video game". The plan is to start putting out videos with some sort of information / commentary on them, but the ones I have up now are mostly me just fucking around. The strange thing is that people are actually watching them! Even the super basic, low production, being played by a complete noob, (yours truly) YT videos are being watched. If that doesn't tell you how popular and addicting this game is...then I don't know what will.

Season 4 is Live

LCS Season 4 started this week and you know what I did? I watched the whole F'n stream on Twitch. I was at work as well, so I wasn't able to watch every single moment...but it was on in the background just like if I was watching a a baseball game or any other TV show. Overall it was my first time watching a Professional LCS match live and I have to say I was pretty impressed. It is still very clear that I am a super noob. The announcers, the live crowd, and the TwitchTV chat all seemed like they were on another level and were watching a different game then I was.

I find it very difficult to follow a match when a team fight goes down. Between the announcers yelling and 10 champions health bars on the screen...its tough for me to follow. It all kinda looks like a large cluster fuck. I do realize that the announcers make a big difference and I shouldn't quite judge it yet...but I am not sure how much a broadcaster change can really help me. All of the team fighting I saw during the EU LCS matches very fast paced and involved ALOT of target switching. It may just be the way it is and maybe once I stop "noob'n it up" I'll be able to follow along a pro game with more enjoyment.

Road to Level 30

It takes ALOT longer then I first realized. The majority of the games that I have played have been against AI opponents and I was well aware that this yields less XP. I thought to myself that if I had just played PvP matches instead of the 100+ AI games that I would already be level 30 and to be honest, I probably would. However, I have probably played close to 40-50 PvP games in the last month or so and I just feel like I will never ever get to level 30. It is a legit grind and begs the question...

How are some people so clueless on how to play when they are level 30?

I am not trying to be a douche or anything, but from what I have seen from streams and read on various sites, Bronze and Silver leagues are literally filled with players that know less about the game then I currently do. I just don't see how that is possible considering how much of a grind it is to get to level 30. I guess they could have bought XP boosts, but they would still have to play a large amount of games even with the boosts!

Maybe this is just me being a noob and I just don't get it because I have yet to experience the ranked queue. Maybe it is the Internet talking out of their ass (that never happens right?) However, people treat bronze league players that they are COMPLETELY clueless on how even a MOBA game works.

I for one can't wait to get to level 30 so I can actually compare myself to the rest of the LoL community. I still think that I am pretty below average, but that is only MY opinion. The ranking system is in place so I don't have to rely on opinions of myself or others, it does that shit for you. Do you know what doesn't do a good job of matchmaking games for your skill level? Normal games. Some normal games I feel like I am on a COMPLETELY different level then my opponents and then other games I get rolled so hard I feel like I should go back to playing against the AI...

...I mean it is that big of a difference and frankly I am getting annoyed with it. I think overall I am doing a pretty good job of not raging on my teammates and just keeping my frustrating to myself. Sometimes I slip up, but its normally just a passive aggressive / troll comment for the "lulz". Usually when the frustration is pointed at my direction and others are raging on me...I normally just agree with them and tell them sorry. Even if I feel that they are completely off basis.

I am not trying to have an argument with a stranger the few hours a day I get to myself. Fuck that noise.

Review and Improve

There are several reasons why I enjoy watching other, more skilled, gamers play LoL. The biggest of them all is how much I end up learning. LoL is a complicate game to get better at. Due to this, visual evidence of watching others play has been the biggest reason on my play improving.

As I mentioned before, I have been streaming on TwitchTV and uploading some of the more entertaining games to YT. I stated that I am mostly just fucking around, but it is nice watching your old games to see how much you improved. I watch my Veigar video yesterday and even though I ended up winning the game and had very good stats, I saw SOOO many opportunities to improve. Mostly that I was playing so passively that it almost brought me to rage lol.

It is nice to review games and recognize things that you can improve on that will start helping you NOW. Riot currently does not have a built-in, client integrated replay function but has been working on one...however, there is no ETA on when this function will go to live servers.

The website LoL Replays (third party vendor) is what most people currently use to save their replays. It is legit and has been approved by Riot themselves. It has it's pros and cons, but overall its a pretty good choice.

TwitchTV just makes it too easy for me since I already had everything setup.

Being a better player and in-progress goals

I just read a flipping awesome thread on the LoL forums titled "Tips to being a better player" by Jsp. What a fantastic read and I recommend all LoL players, regardless of skill, to take a look and read it. One of the best reads on the subject that I have come across.

Below are a few goals that I am really going to focus on for the time being.

If you actively try to improve every single game and set a goal to work towards, The ELO will come to you. Always focus on your own lane and try to improve even if your team is losing their's. You are training for the next possible game and this time it might just be YOU that is failing hard.

Top level players aim for 10 CS per minute. If my math doesn't fail me that is 100 CS at 10 minutes and 300 CS at 30 minutes. At this rate you do not need to kill any champions and still be just as powerful. I am setting my goal at 75 CS at 10 minutes consistently no matter what the situation is in the top and middle lanes. There are plenty of factors that can happen during a game that can throw this off, but if I can hit every game, I should have a pretty good edge on my opponents.

<strike>Use smart pings</strike> Abuse the smart ping system. Ignore the chat. Stop making that kid's tantrum lose the game for you. Why do you care what that 12 year old kid thinks? The mute button / feature is there for a reason, use it and make sure it doesn't affect your game. If you really want, disable the /all chat. Your teammates can still smart ping.

Minimap awareness. I think this one has been on my goals list since the beginning. In soloqueue its pointless to assume that your team has your back. Train yourself into looking at the minimap every 30 seconds and after you have mastered that, take a peek every 15 seconds. After awhile you should take a quick peek at the minimap every 2 seconds to watch out for anything suspicious. Examples being empty lanes which weren't pinged or catching an enemy jungler walking towards you. Its always worth it to check the minimap.

First off I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope all is well with you personally. 2014 is now here and what better way to celebrate then playing video games and then blogging about it?!?

Is that a short joke?!?

Meet Veigar. He is one of the many champions in League of Legends and is described in game as the "Tiny Master of Evil". He was actually my first champion that I ever bought when I first gave this game a go back in 2011. In every game I am normally drawn to the caster / mage type and Veigar looked like a good fit to try out.

He is super squishy but has one, if not the best, nuke in the game. He is the definition of a "glass cannon" caster. Normally, I don't like that in my casters, especially in PvP game. Knowing that if you make even a little mistake you can be one-shot by anyone is lame, but I don't know...there is something about this little dude that is overwhelming fun. He has a pretty shit early game, but if you can keep pace with your opponents you will completely own them come middle and late game.

I started playing him again and due to the fun factor, pretty much stop playing any other champion. This guide really helped me and the author did a great job putting it together. It goes over everything that you can possible want to know about Veigar and it is currently updated for season 4. There isn't much else I can say that the guide doesn't cover in detail, but here are my big takeaways / tips.

One of my favorite things about him is that your opponent has to severely slow you in the early game (first 10-15 minutes or so). If not they will pay for it later on in the game. Due to this fact, it is best just to stay by your tower and try to farm as many minions as possible.

Veigar's main attack, Baleful Strike, gives a permanent Ability Power bonus if the unit dies. WTF? Yes, you did read that correctly. The more kills he gets with this spell, the stronger he becomes. FYI, there is no AP cap people. Most games you end up with over 1000 AP and this is what allows Veigar to melt opposing enemies' face completely off. It is silly. Try to kill units with this spell every single chance you get.

The item, Deathfire Grasp, pretty much means your combo will take any champion from 100 to 0. It is crazy good for Veigar and is worth rushing.

Bottom lane is a good place to drift to for a gank after you push a wave of minions towards the enemy tower. They are normally more squishy then then the top lane.

A full game of your's truly playing Veigar against others in the solo queue. I started off pretty shaky and after watching it back noticed several mistakes and things that I could have done differently...but overall it turned out pretty well.

Entry 4?!? I know, very exciting. If you have been following along this series then you are aware that this must mean that I finally got around to doing my first PvP match in League of Legends. It only took me roughly 2 years and 126 AI "bot" games to give PvP a go...but who is counting right?

I took a break from playing the game since my last entry, but started playing again with the new season (4) starting. I am not sure what exactly happened, but something just clicked for me. I started playing a few of the free rotation players and experimenting with the new masteries / items. Something clicked with the game. I feel much more comfortable with knowing exactly what needs to be done in each phase of the game and normally when to and when not to do it. I think most of it had to do with me finally playing every major role (APC, ADC, Tank, Support, ect) and having a good amount of experience in each lane in the early / mid game. Of course watching other experienced players play and reading up on the game also helps immensely. I just feel like now I know WTF is going on with the game as a whole.

So how did my first PvP game go?

7/1/20

I am very happy with that end score and even more happy I got a win out of it. When I joined up my intention was to play middle lane as Veigar. I called mid in the in game chat and waited about 20 seconds before I locked in my toon. Then all of a sudden someone stated the following...

"WTFspaghetti, I called mid"

Now, I guess it is possible that he called mid before I joined the chat...but IMO that is highly doubtful. No fear though, I have been practicing with 4 different Champions and had no problem doing another lane / role. I asked if they wanted a support and to my surprise...the chat blew up. Everyone was confused and calling for different lanes and what was needed. It was the definition of a cluster fuck. With 15 seconds left to pick, I decided to go top lane with the King of all Trolls, Mr. Trundle.

What occurred next can only be explained as a complete and utter ownage. It was very clear within the first 5 minutes that the two champions I was going up against in the top lane didn't have much experience against Trundle. I was able to poke and harass them enough so they didn't feel comfortable being aggressive. It was glorious. I managed to get to the mid game with a hefty "cs" lead, 4 kills, and no deaths.

The rest of the game I built him up as a tank and just abused the enemy team with all my slows and crowd control abilities. We pretty much won every single team fight and while I don't think I was the only reason why my team won, I know for a fact I was a huge part of our success. It was very fun and while I don't think I am going to completely give up on "AI bot" games...I am definitely going to play PvP way more then I have been.

So What Now?

I feel that I have completed my mission. I started about 3-4 months ago with the goal of learning how to play this game due to its crazy popularity. I was not a complete noob per se...but I was pretty bad. Now with the completion of my 1st PvP match I think everyone can agree that I am "below average"

HOORAH! Until next time people!
I haven't been keeping up with all of the changes, so I figured I would share this awesome "run-down" video about most of the changes.

Seems to be pretty legit from a super casual fan of the game like myself. I especially like the free trinket / wards and changes to the Support role. If you are at all interested in LoL, I highly suggest that you atleast keep up with all of these changes.
It looks like Blizzard is finally changing up some of their daily quests for Hearthstone. My daily quest yesterday was called "Spell Master" and it stated that I simply had to use 40 spells in Play or Arena mode.

I like the idea and I really enjoy Blizzard using their daily quest system to not necessarily force people to make new decks, but to have a focus point and build a deck around it. Does that make sense? I think it does...anyway, moving on!

So I made a new deck focusing on spells and I decided to go with the Mage class. Cards list can be found here and below is the breakdown.

When I first made it was I assuming it was going to be terrible, but I hoped it would be atleast fun. Well, it turned out to be not only fun, but highly successfully. I got my ass handed to me a few times by some rogues, but other then that held my own. I ended up going 8-2 on my stream last night.

Below is a couple YouTube videos I made cut directly from my twitch stream of some of the more entertaining games I played. Hopefully it helps you out if you ever get the Spell Master quest. Until next time, I'm WTFout!
It doesn't matter if you watched last's nights UFC 167 PPV card or not, go ahead and watch the below three minute video and then read my take on it.

It does state who won in the GSP vs Johnny Hendricks fight however...so FYI. Full card results can be found here.
This is why Dana White is loved by fans of MMA. He is a fight fan and he speaks his mind without caring how he comes off to the general public. I don't know about you guys, but I really respect and appreciate that. I don't always agree with Dana, but the comments he made in the video I 150% agree with and I hope something positive comes out of it. It should be an interesting week in the MMA world. I'll have to make sure to listen to some MMA Junkie Radio this week for all the juicy drama and fallout.

Here is a link to the full story. MMA fan? Thoughts on the card? I had about 300 gold in Hearthstone, so I figured that I would stream some arena. It was fun but also pretty weird. I mean, I was in my basement, by myself, playing a video game, and just talking to myself...

Standard play for someone that is streaming and also has plans to upload the video to YouTube...but man, it was fucking weird. No other way to explain it. I got used to it after a bit, but it was still very strange. The mic that I was using is pretty weak and I didn't want to talk too loud because my son sleeps right above my office, but I think it turned out okay and overall I enjoyed it.

I actually had a few viewers and got to chat with a buddy that found out I was streaming via twitter. Good times were had and so far I am 4-1 with this deck. I kinda want to play a game now, but I will save it for when I stream, no reason not to right?

Below is a highlight from last night's stream and was actually the first game on the Arena run. I must have fucked up on the editing because it cuts off about 15 seconds too soon...but I am sure you get the point of what happens. I would re-edit it and upload it again, but my mic audio is so terrible, its pretty pointless. My gaming headset broke during my Extra Life marathon so I had to bust out the old desktop microphone from my raiding days in World of Warcraft...lol. No fear though, I ordered me some hawt Turtle Beaches using the Amazon banner link from my favorite podcast, Ross Tucker Football Podcast. It helps the show out and I get something that I was going to buy anyway. It's a win, win, as they say.

Enjoy the highlight of the awesome synergy of a low mana minion deck with a Cult Master and an Alarm Bot.
...wait what?

That is correct people. I finally took some time out and setup my TwitchTV account to actually stream. Not sure how I often I am going to use it, but it's pretty cool that I have it setup now. I also got around to setting up an official YouTube page for WTFspaghetti and already uploaded some Hearthstone footage. I am unsure on how I am going to use these two sites, but it will be fun nonetheless just fucking around with it and trying new stuff out.

On the right hand side of my blog I put two new and shiny buttons to subscribe to both of my channels. Go now and then come back to select a new wallpaper for your device of choice. I personally choose "The Geek Zodiac", I love stupid nerdy shit like that #AlphaNerd

Ahh yes, good old Blizzard is back at it again with their super fun and addicting brand of video games. Thousands of <strike>suckers</strike> players like myself have been lucky enough to gain access to Blizzard's newest game, Hearthstone.

For those readers that aren't too familiar with the game, I highly suggest you check out the below video and the Official Website. Even if you are a super TGC nerd like me and know alot about the game, it is still a good read / watch.

Warriors, Mount Up!

I have dumped roughly 35+ hours into the game so far and I am highly impressed and hopelessly addicted. I don't think it's unhealthy though. I am not playing hours on end like other Blizzard games. It is just very accessible and most importantly, fun. The main reason why I have been able to play so much of the game is because I can play it on my Nexus 7 tablet via a free application called Splashtop. It's not the perfect setup, but it does work quite well. If you are in the beta and want to play the game on a mobile device I highly suggest it.

As mentioned in my previous Hearthstone post, I was mostly looking forward to trying out the Shaman and Warlock classes. While I have spent a good chunk of time on those two classes specifically, I found myself trying to figure out the Warrior class. I knew almost nothing about the Warrior class and after talking with a friend I decided give it a go. It plays very different then all of my other decks (mage, shaman, priest, lock) and it took me about 2-3 hours to really get the hang of it and make a decent deck.

During those hours of learning how to play I completed a hidden quest "Chicken Dinner" and earned 300 gold. With all this extra gold I decided to try my luck in Arena mode. It's 150 gold and even if you don't win a single game, you do get atleast 1 pack of cards and some extra dust / gold.

So the next night I sat down and hopped into the Arena for the first time. My classes to choose from were Rogue, Warrior, or Hunter.

The only classes that I do not have experience with playing are the Rogue and Hunter, so my choice was pretty clear...I am rolling Warrior. To my surprise it only took me about 3-5 minutes to choose my whole deck. Once I realize I was already at 30 cards I assumed that I am probably going to get rolled by others that put a little more thought into their deck. For the most part I was right. I won my first game but 3 games later I was sitting at 2 wins and 2 losses. In Arena mode, you only get 3 losses before its game over. The more games you win without losing 3 times, the better your reward at the end will be.

I was either getting owned HARD or barely winning my games...not a great sign for a deck. However, I went on a little win streak and ended my first Arena run with 5 wins. Not too bad. I don't think I can expect much more then that and even though I didn't get to 7+ plus wins, it was still a very fun experience.

Here is some helpful information that I used over the last few days while playing the Warrior class. My current Warrior deck is very similar to Mashdar#1871 Thrifty Warrior Deck (forum post here) with a little bit more AoE / board clearing. However, I am going to start working towards the below Warrior deck named "Pyro-Smith". Our boy Force has a few videos up on the deck and it looks really FUN. I can already think of a few variations that I would incorporate to suit my playstyle.

ROAD BLOCK

Like a mofo...

That's right. I was getting that feeling with LoL. My A.D.D. was starting to kick in and with Blizzard deciding to invite me to a closed beta of their newest game, Hearthstone...I thought that my LoL days were going to fizzle off into the horizon.

FEAR NOT! One of my buddies caught word that I started playing the game and wanted to team up and play a few games together. Perfect right? Well, not quite. He is in the exact position that I was before I started blogging about the game. He knows the concept of a MOBA game, has a few purchased toons, but never looked up how to play or how the current meta is. I am still very happy to have someone to play with, but I'm not sure a noob like myself will be much of a teacher.

We finally got some time to link up and play and since he hasn't played in about 6 months, we decided to play against some intermittent bots. It was my first game in about a week in a half and I was okay...not bad, but not great either. I was playing Karthus and I don't know, it wasn't that fun. First game lasted about 25 minutes and we got the victory. We decided to give another game a go against bots and well...

...it was TERRIBLE.

I think the game lasted an hour and only three of us on the team were level 18 by the end. I think I had the most kills and I went 8/12...it was one of the games were you just wanted it to end. We stopped playing after that and it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I mean I got ROLLED by bots. It was all sorts of bad and it totally ruined my view of Karthus. I came to the realization that I am not skilled enough to really excel with him. He requires someone that pays close attention to the mini map and other enemies health pools. Not to mention I feel very vulnerable in most 1 on 1 situation...especially early / mid game.

Again, I thought that my LoL days were going to fizzle off into the horizon...but those last two games were so bad, I just couldn't leave it all without giving it another go. I mean, WTF would I write about if I didn't play?

The RESURGENCE!

I went back to my Mage Assassin, Malzahar, and went in to another bot battle. I choose beginner and set a goal for myself. If I don't fucking own and its just meh...then I am giving up on the casters / mid lane and moving on to another role.

The results? I completely dominated and had my best performance in a LoL match ever. I know it was against silly bots, but after the 2 week stretch of meh-feeling games with Karthus, it was a welcomed emotion.

Redonkeyous right? I don't think that I ever got higher then 10 kills with any toon that I have played in my LoL career, so I took it as a strong sign that I should really just focus on playing Malzahar while putting Karthus on the back burner for when I become a super gosu legit pro.

Team Work Hurray!

I got a few more games in with my buddy and we are doing much better. We are ready to take the plunge into PvP battleground. I know that I have been saying this for 3 posts now, but I am now ready and there is no reason to postpone that shit any longer!

Entry 4 of this series will be all about PvP or it will never happen and I will never speak of this game AGAIN!!! This is even more likely to happen because I found out this week a few co-workers also play and play quite often. However, they are not newbies like yours truly, they actually are level 30s that play against other players. I already informed that I am going to need lots of work and they have no choice in the matter, they ARE going to team up with me and teach me how to not be a noob!
