Tuesday Maintenance Boredom - new wing in ICC and elemental set bonus cooldown?

Morning blog lovers!!

Its Tuesday morning again and while we are glad that it is no longer Monday, it still sucks that the servers are down and we can't melt faces until mid afternoon.

Go Go Gadget Garage Gate Opener

Yes, Blizzard's vaacation is over and they should be back to working on the ICC gated progression non-sense. All the news sites state that we should be seeing the gate being open to the next wing in the Icecrown raid.

For some reason, probably because I have one, I see Blizzard having a garage door opener when it comes to opening the gate to the next wing. That is pretty weird isn't it? It is probably even weirder that I had a dream about it that also somehow involved Brittany Murphy then uh? Yea, I have issues, I think we all know that by now...

Anyway, the new wing, hall, whatever you want to call it has three bosses within it. You see the loot tables on those suckas? I can't wait to get in there and start pwning it up. The fights mechnicals don't look too terrible, but in all reality, there is no way I can say that until I get to actually fight them. I mean, Lady Deathwhispher didn't look that hard on paper in a 25 man, yet the coordination of your raid team leaves little room to screw up in order to defeat her.

So only time will tell.

The last boss of the wing, Professor Putricide, is also the first boss that has limited attempts. Blizzard's way of gating the raid even further. The limited attemtps were first suppose to be 5, but after enough QQ'ing, they got up'd to 10 attempts before lockout.

Yes, that does mean that you only get 10 attempts a week on this boss before he dispawns and you are done with the instance. What I am curious about is what happens to the limited amount of attempts once the next gate is opened? I realize that 10 attempts on a boss is pretty solid and if you don't get it with 10 attempts, then your raid probably isn't going to be able to do it that week anyway. But still, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Frost badges

Speaking of the new wing being released, that also means that we have a chance to get 6 extra frost badges a week from each version of ICC. So if you are in a guild that clears 25 man ICC and 10 man ICC weekly that means you should be getting a bare minimum of 28 frost badges a week! Pretty f'n shaweet imo

That isn't taking into affect the two badges you get a day from the LFG tool and the weekly raid quest, which is 19 more frost badges.

Using my fantastic math skills that comes to a grand total of 47 frost badges a week.

Holy shit that is alot of badges per week and for the first time in a VERY long time. I am in an guild that has a good chance of doing that. I know for a fact that our 10 man team is uber and if we can't clear out 10 man ICC...then I wouldn't suspect many other people to do it as well. In regards to our 25 man ICC, we are currently stuck on Deathbringer...so even though we can get him to 5% or less...that still doesn't count as a kill.

So we shall see, but with the release of the second wing of ICC, we are getting close to killing that no good, Hitler wannabe, sob....the lich king. Ya, I didn't capitalize his name for a reason. That reason is because I think he is a BIAAATCH!

Thats right, I said it. What is he going to do?

Last thing I want to say about frost badges is that with a potential of 47 badges a week, our tier 10 bonuses shouldn't be that far away. It isn't too uncommon now to see people with their 2 piece set bonus, but I must warn the Elemental Shamans of WoW...beware of the two piece bonus and running the random heroic...

...be scared

...very scared

Elemental Shaman 2pc T10 causing a 7 day cooldowns

7 day cooldown?!? WTFmate!! Please tell me more before I go to a real wow blog to find out.

Damn...I can't even get past the title before you guys are jumping at the heels.

To quote Blizzard

"You may not want to use the set while using Dungeon Finder until we known for sure what the problem is. Whe we have an update, we'll be sure to let you know."

Well Blizzard, thanks for all the details. Don't worry about us Elemental Shamans that have been playing your game every day for the pass 3 weeks to get my 2pc T10 bonus. I can only assume that the 7 day cooldown is for the random dungeon quest.

Pretty weak. So if have the 2pc T10...be warned, don't equip when you queue up for the random daily...because you will then be locked out for the next 7 days.

7 day cooldown...so random...doesn't even make sense from a code point of view. I guess that is why Blizzard they have know idea why this is happening.

figures...

Until next time, I'm WTFout!!

Back to the Grind...

Title has nothing to do with WoW. It has to do with the real life grind. Winter hoilday is pretty much over unless you're off until after the New Years....

...and if you are I is jealous

I actually had a very good holiday break and for the first time in....um....I don't know, 6-7 months. I have a working Playstation 3 again!! Hooray!

That isn't the best part...no, no. I have a friend that used to be married to a woman. They got divorced and I still see the women from time to time because she is a manager at a video store by my house. I went in a few days ago and told her that I got my ps3 fixed and I am going to rent EVERYTHANG!!!

She laughed and said that if they have more then 2 ps3 version of a game, she can sell them to me for five dollars.

/shock...I'm going to say that again.

If they have more then 2 ps3 versions of a game, she can sell them to me for five dollars.

Holy shit Batman! I went to the ATM and got out 50 bucks and bought all games. It was pretty f'n sweet. So if anyone needs some ps3 games, I can get you them for 15 dollars...let me know!

what? think I am going to be the middle man for nothing? PFT, I'm a HUSTLA BABAY!!

WoWzors....

Speaking of making money, I made a bunch of gold this weekend in WoW. Being an alt-holic that I am, I am always in need of gold. I have 3 level 80s...Shaman, Mage, Warlock. I have a 70 pally and a 60 druid. I highly doubt that I will ever level my paladin, but sooner or later I am going to make the push and level my kitty.

This means MONIES people. Lots of monies for enchants, gems, gear, flying skill, sexual favors, dual spec, leveling professions, ect...you get the point.

I have been making a few hundred here and there, but nothing major and my combined gold went from about 9k gold to 5k gold after leveling blacksmithing and on my Shaman and gearing my Warlock.

I decided that I was going to use the frost badges that I get on my two max level toons, to buy the new "orbs" of the patch, primordial saronite. It costs x23 badges and sells on my server for 2k-3k gold.

I bought two of them, one with lock, one with mage. I sold them both for 2.5k gold and went to Silvermoon's Gentlemens Club and made it rain on those elfs. After that I had about 4.5k gold profit!

My thinking was my alts are in fact....just alts. I enjoy playing them and upgrading there stats, but its all good if it takes awhile for me to get there. Who knows how long the prices of primordial saronite will be this high.

Economics tells us that the less availability of the product, the more that it is worth if there is a demand. Well, there should always be a demand, they are the major materials for the legendary 2 hander and several best in slot pieces for cloth, leather, mail, and plate. However, no raider worth anything is going to give up their hard to get frost badges to sell them for gold. Not when several best in slot pieces, including the new tier 10 pieces, cost 60-95 badges each.

As more and more people get everything they need from the frost badge gear the price is going to drop hardcore. Not only that, but now people are realizing that they can run the daily heroic for 2 frost badges a day on their alts and make that kind of bank off of it. Already I have seen the price drop from 4.5k two weeks ago, to 2k gold now. I think after the new VoA boss gets released and becomes farmed the price will drop down to about 1k gold and stay in that range for awhile until the Lich King dies. Around that time I bet there are going to be alot of people that are going to say fuck it, I'm going to need gold for the upcoming expansion

Speaking of Frost Badges...

Over the break, I got enough frost badges to buy some uber stuff. [Drape of the Violet Tower](cape), [Waistband of Despair] (belt), or the hottness that is [Purified Lunar Dust] (trinket). Or I could you know....save for tier gear.

This decision took me seriously two hours! Two f'n hours. I bought the trinket and tested it out by just casting RT > LHW > HW > CH. It didn't proc enough for me, but when it did proc...we are talking about 1100 mp5 for ~10 seconds with my gear. It was what I like to call "reDONKEYous".

I got invited to a ICC25 man rep run. I returned the trinket and re-bought it to reset the 2 hour return timer. I was pretty impressed by the trinket. It proc'd enough and really helped my throughput as well as making my mana last longer. Which means I can heal more, but...eh...I don't know...lets do some quick thinking...

The current trinket that it would have replaced has +128 intellect.

10 int = ~5.5 mp5 / 1.8 spell power / 3.3 crit
With my ghetto math that equals to be 70mp5 / ~20 spell power / 42 crit rating.

----------------------------

With the [Purified Lunar Dust] the proc is ~76-101 mp5 and has 153 spell power. Definitely an upgrade, but not worth spending the badges on before the tier 10 bonuses.

So I returned it.../sad panda.

The cape was a huge upgrade, but again...not worth spending the badges before the tier 10 bonuses.

So now we have [Waistband of Despair] or save for the tier gear. First of all, holy shit that belt is retarded. Two yellow sockets standard?!? Plus a ton of int, sp, haste, and crit? No mp5 means that it is perfect for my off spec, elemental as well? The upgrade in HEPs from what I had was plain silly and worth it alone, 260 to 401. Not to meantion it 70+ more haste then my current belt plus a spinkle more crit. Being the haste freak that I am, I had to get it. Just too big of an upgrade overall. I am going to try really hard not to spend any more frost badges and save up for the tier 10. Mostly due to the sexyness of the bonuses.

Rest of the Weekend?

Only thing else that I did in warcraft was get my rep ring to honored. I must say...this damn thing is crazy good. I also like how Blizzard kept in mind duel specs and gives you the option to switch rings at a cost of 200g

Other then that I been playing Madden 2010 and Little Big Planet with my girlfriend. Its rather surprising that I can beat most of my friends in Madden on a consitent basis, but I am 1 in 4 win it comes to beating my g/f in Madden.

I think she has cheats....or distracts me with her female-ness.

CURSES!!!

BTW, Little Big Planet is a very fun game. It reminds of Donkey Kong, but on acid. I think its neat that two players can play at the same time and how they have side objectives for 2 player mode.

Until next time, I'm WTFout!!

Patch 3.3 = 1400 new PvE items = WTF

Hola blog lovers!!

The time has finally come my friends, its Turkey week here in the States. I for one can't wait to eat a bunch of stuffing, green beans, turkey, rolls, while drowning it in some gravy, watching football and yelling gobble, gobble, until I pass out from consuming too much alcohol.

It will be epic and it is what being fat American is all about. I do have to work the next day, but that is neither here or there. For this is a WoW blog and just incase you haven't been playing or keeping up with news, a HUGE patch(3.3) is coming out soon.

I have a HUGE, RAGING, clue right now...

When I say huge, I do mean HUGE. There is going to be three new 5 man instances all dropping item level 219 (Normal) and 232 (Heroic) epic loot. That's right, Blizzard is spoiling us with these three brand spanking new instances. I already wrote about this a couple months ago, so go check out that post and then come back...

Pretty dope right? This is history in the making folks. Blizzard has never released more then one new five man instance unless it was an expansion. Not only that, but if you read my post that I just linked, the return of attunements and a pretty decent and lore-filled quest line?

So why am I talking about it again since I already wrote a post about it? Good question and it is because I have obtained this map of what the new 5 man Frozen Halls are going to look like.

So from my understanding and my best guess, the gate to Icecrown is going to open. I am assuming that the X on the map is the entry point to the Frozen Halls. The skulls on the map represent where the three new 5 mans will be located, Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection. I am also willing to bet that this 17 part quest chain (no link, MMO-Champion is blocked at my work =(...) has us killing stuff within the Frozen Halls as well as in the instances. You know its getting close when stuff like this is being released.

Makes me /giggle in anticipating....

I mean /manlylaugh...ya, that sounds better...

I think the patch would be pretty big just those changes, but no. They are also releasing a new raid. Both 10 and 25 man versions will be available and information about it is everywhere. Check out sites like MMO-Champion for loot tables and more spoilers like that. Interesting thing about the release of this new raid is that it is going to be gated. Check out my post a few days ago about my and other bloggers thoughts and overall how it is going to work.

LFG Tool and my thoughts...

One last thing in regards to the 5 mans and raids is the new cross server LFG tool. I am torn currently with this new addition...I can't tell if I am excited for the change or think its going to ruin stuff.

Before I get into how it works, I want to share a few thoughts on it. WoW, is indeed a fantasy world. One of the biggest things that got me addicted to this game is how huge and how much it is really like world. Let me explain further.

You want to do some raiding or some 5 man instances to kill badies and save the world. Cool, go travel or get summoned to the entrance and do your thing. You want to kill some opposing faction in some pvp? No biggie, go or get summoned to the entrance and do your thing.

But wait...

You see, with battlegrounds and arena...no one goes to the entrance anymore. You go to your battlemaster and get thrown into a pool of hundreds of thousands of players wanting to do the same thing. When the game starts there is a great chance that you are in there with few to no one from your own server, then you do your thing.

This takes away from being in a fantasy world and makes it seem like any other multiple game...such as Halo or Counterstrike. Where you just zone in and start killing people. The lore kinda gets lost and again, the feeling that you are in this fantasy world game in character gets lost. It just feels like a video game rather then a video game experience. Its hard to explain in words...hopefully you get what I mean.

Now, with the cross server LFG tool, you will again most likely not be in a group / raid with anyone from your server. Instead of flying to the entrance or getting summoned there, you just click accept and you are ported to a server dedicated for it with people that you have never seen or will ever see again.

It takes away something from the game for me. Yes, I know that you will still get the option to do it how you currently do it now, the LFG channel is not going away and Blizzard isn't forcing you to do it...so I am just going to have to check it out and see what I think about it.

However, I am not going in with a positive attitude. I was a big fan of non-cross server battlegrounds. The environment was thick and filled with a sense of responsibility to your faction. You didn't just want to win, you wanted to kill the SOBs and make them suffer for all the battles you had with them in the past. When cross-server BGs went live...all of that was lost. You just wanted to win, kill people, and get your marks instead of having that heated rivalry between factions and guilds.

I fear that cross-server LFG might do this too, just in a different way.

However...

It is a god send from the leveling and off hour point of view. Lets dive further into it shall we?

Currently, the level max is 80. That is 80 levels that you have to complete before you can get to the content that the majority of your server population runs. I just leveled up a druid and lock. Druid is 60, Lock is damn near 79. I barely found a group for Ramps and Blood Furnace during my outland leveling process. Before that I could only find 1 group for ZF and before that I coudn't find a group for anything besides level 18 WC.

I missed SM, Mara, BRD, Scholo, UBRS, LBRS, ect. All due to the fact that no one runs these anymore. Couple that with my playing time, off hours / low traffic, and no one is even in those instances.

You would think that it got better when I got out to Northrend. I remember on my Mage and my Shaman that there were people running the new 5 man instances all the time. Not anymore. I found a few groups for Nexus that were super fails and the same thing happened with AN. I kept on trying with AN due to having 4 quests in the instance, but I almost leveled out of the instances level range before finding a group.

Cross server LFG will be amazing in the regard that I will now be able to find groups for lower level instances with much more ease then I can currently. So hooray for that, but in regards to level 80 instances...I think I will stick to the old way of doing it by pugging in the LFG channel or running it with friends / guildies.

Ghostcrawler: 1400 new PvE items in Patch 3.3

Yes, that is correct. Ghostcrawler is a mad man, but atleast he has some humorous personality. Here is his post were he talks about all the new items and jokes around about how all items are going to change in the upcoming expansion.

More importantly, there is going to be 1400 new PvE items in this patch. Holy shit batman! I mean, doesn't that seem a little nuts to anyone besides me?

To put it in perspective when 3.1 dropped, there was 800 new PvE items between Ulduar and the begining of the Argent Tourney. Now we are adding 1400 items in this patch alone. I mean, I am not pissed or upset. I am just shocked more then anything. 1400 is alot of loot to look through for all my toons. That is alot of loot to go through to find the "best in slot" gear.

I am excited and overwhelmed at the same time, but thinking more about it. I guess it isn't too crazy. I mean there is going to be three new 5 mans, both with normal and heroic versions. A new raid with 10 and 25 man versions...not to mention heroic versions of both of them. You can't forget the new craftables and all the new loot for the new badge vendor.

Tis going to be crazy in 3.3 mon...WILD.

I think I have excited bored you enough for one day. Don't forget to vote for you favorite race in my poll. There is only a few days left and the Blood Elfs are still in the lead.

Until next time, I'm WTFout!!

Refreshing...

Like the delicious candy "Airheads"

mmm...so delicious...especially the watermelon ones.

Ok, sorry, that was the fat side coming out of me.

This weekend was pretty simple for me. My girlfriend was working all weekend, so I was pretty bored during the day. Without her being there, I didn't feel the urge to do anything productive besides getting a haircut and ended up playing WoW most of the weekend.

I thought you were a MAGE!

I know, my main dps class for the past 2 years has been my pew pew laser beaming Mage. Mages are fun, very direct and simplistic. It is what I love about them. However, all of my alt time...which has pretty much been all of the WoW time minus 6 hours of raiding I do on my Shaman...has been devoted to leveling my Warlock.

/gasp!

I know, this IS coming from an old school Mage. I am suppose to want to kill all Warlocks on sight and them bathe in their tears while making a post on the WoW forums about how lucky I was and that they should be nerfed more.

They want green fire?!? F that! Way too OP!!! /wrist

Well...F that. I never had any hatred towards Warlocks. I take that back, I did hate all Locks during the 4-5 months they were the flavor of the month class back in the day during TBC. It felt like 30-40% of all DPS was fucking Locks.

Anyway...what the hell was I talking about? Ahhh yes, leveling a Warlock.

I did this weekend what the "homies" would call "PUTTING IN WORK SON!!"

I leveled my evil little witch from 67 to 74 and I am truthfully amazed how quickly it is going by. However, I am tired of leveling and I want to get to 80 and melt faces. That sounds bipolar doesn't it?

Eh, that is a whole different post...

Outland - Owned in 3 zones
  • With the 10% more xp from both the shoulders and chest piece, you only have to do 3 zones in the Outlands.

  • That is what I did and I started out in the Outlands at level 58 and left for Northrend at level 68.
  • It is pretty sweet to be honest. I am not a fan of the TBC expansion when it comes to the zones. Some are cool....but mostly it just pisses me off leveling in the Outland. Everything is just weird and out of place to me. A bunch of floating islands with demons, boars, and unflattering / boring environment? LAME.

  • I got the achievement for doing most of the quests in Hellfire...something along the lines of 90 quests. I then moved on to Zangarmarsh and did 45 out of 54 quests....I didn't get the achievement for that one, but it is only because all of the mushrooms freak me out. That and the fact that I hate Naga infested zones. Lets be honest..."Da Marsh", as my Troll brothers like to call it, is full of fucking Nagas. So I got out of there as soon as I dinged 65.

  • Then it was off to my favorite least hated zone in the Outlands, Nagrand. This is the only zone where I don't feel out of place and weirded out in the Outlands. Plus, our favorite mass murder Dwarf is there, Hemet Nesingwary.

  • I completed 60 out of the 87 quests for the achievement in Nagrand. I actually dinged 68 and decided to finish up a chain before making the leap to Northrend.

  • I didn't do ANYTHING else in besides quest in those 3 zones the whole time I was in the Outland. I didn't do the choose your side quest in Shatt. I was only in Shatt to fly off to Hellfire or Nagrand. It was fantastic.
Northrend - I tried, I really tried...

I wanted to, I really wanted to do the Northrend zones that I haven't touched with my other two max level toons. I had never quested in Grizzly Hills or the Fjord. Come to think about it...I have only leveled in Borean, Dragonblight, the Basin, and finish it up with a few quest in Storms Peak.

So like I stated, the plan was to explore and quest in the areas in Northrend I haven't been yet. However, that just isn't happening. Its 80 time...and I want to get 80 asap!

I don't have time to be confused or lost....I need epic gearz ok?!?

I got the achievement for doing 150 quests in Borean and so far I am at 118 out of 130 quests in Dragonblight. I figured I would rock out the last of them in Dragonblight and hopefully be 75. That way I will be able to go straight to Sholazar Basin, but that is highly doubtful. I will probably have to do some quests in Zul Drak or w/e its called.

Who knows though...I might just get a wild hair up my ass and decide to roll into the unknown. Grizzley Hills is 74-75ish I think...

...I'll probably just stick with the plan and try to power my way to 80, I am a lazy loser like that.

I rock, you guys fail...

I been trying to avoid regular 5 man instances like the plague itself. Mostly due to the fact that most people are idiots and REALLY need to L2Play. Plus, I get more exp per hour if I just stick with my questing thing I got going on.

However, what about if I get quests to go into the instance? I used to love these...currently they piss me off and this is because...

Lately...the people that I have ran with are just PURE FAIL.

Got into a Nexus run with very good dps and a twink level 70 DK tank. Yes, a twink level 70 DK tank. You heard me right....this tank had 20k hp and a ton of level 70 epics from everything besides Sunwell.

We killed one boss before the healer accidentally pulls a group and wipes us due to the tank not picking the pulled group up.

The healer and tank say that our dps sucks and leaves.

Got into another Nexus, we can do anything and dont even make it pass the frozen hallway where the mobs are frozen because our healer is fail.

I give up on the Nexus quests...I abandon them.

I then get 4 quests for AN. SOB!!!
  • First run...2 wipes and we haven't even made it to the 1st boss. Tank leaves.
  • Second run...4 wipes and we haven't even made it to the 1st boss. I leave
  • Third time...OMG I have the same healer that was in the first run. I might as well leave now. He did gain a level, and it showed. We barely got through AN....I was happy.
Also...I rocked 1300 dps as a level 73 warlock with a Felguard through the whole run. Everyone else was around 600-700ish. It made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside that I just logged for the day.

The point of this story? None. Oh oh, you can count me out for regular 5 man runs and overall I suggest the same to you. Like I stated earlier, you can get more xp per hour if you just stick with questing. F the nonsense until you can get into some heroics at 80.

mmmmm.....badges....mmmmmm

Until next time, I'm WTFout!!

Tuesday Maintenance Boredom - I have a Disease

I haven't really been updating my blog with "update" posts that much recently. This is kinda strange for me because I do enjoy reading other people's "update" posts. I find it interesting to get a glimpse into what other players actually do with their 15 bucks a month and due to that fact...maybe people like reading about my fun, interesting, hardcore, and fantastic boring WoW career?

You know you want to hear about it! Plus, there is nothing else to do. If you are reading this then there is a very good chance that you are...
  • at work and not able to play
  • at home and not able to play due to the servers being down
  • in the bathroom dropping a deuce and on your iphone, again...not being able to play

That last one I might edit out, because who really does that??
.
.

Don't you lie! WTFspaghetti is a large group of friends. Telling lies, half truths, and keeping secrets, does not lay the foundation that is WTF....

That was odd, lets get back on subject...MOVING ON!

Shaman Tier 10

Yes, this time I am not F'n around with you. Blizzard has finally released something to shut up all the Shamans who been freaking out. It is not complete...but hey...at least its something.

Pretty cool! Also, very un-Shaman like don't you think? I mean it has bones, antlers, and tusks...all that is pretty normal for Shamans. However, it looks evil. It has some sort of demon-like skull with what to appears to be ghosts of antelopes. Maybe the images of these "antelopes" will appear on random, such as the Warlock's tier 5 (I think?). The one were they had wings pop out at random times.

Overall, I am happy. I think the set so far looks great and I for one will not name call Blizzard. I will now also stop crying myself to sleep every night wrecking my mind on what the set could possible look like since every other class has already been completed.

Altism...

Hi, my name is Tek and I have always been an altoholic. I have tried to change and stick with one main character, but every expansion that comes and goes....I seem to have a new main and a new main alt.
Background

In Vanilla WoW, after the 5-6 toons that I leveled to 25-40ish. I got real and made my warrior, Teknine. This was my first toon to hit a max level and my first toon that I ever raided on.

During non-raiding times, I leveled a lock, Chillibean (yes, he was a gnome =P). I got him to level 46 before I rerolled to a different server and to the horde.

When TBC came out my new main, my mage, Lilwhezzy, was 60 for about 3 months. I raided with my mage through Kara and Gruul when it was the only thing going on...it was fun, but at this point...I quit WoW for about 8 months.

When I come back I leveled a Paladin to 70 and raided up to Black Temple. I didn't really mess around with my mage, but I did use him for farming and pvp. This is where I decided I needed another toon...so I leveled a Shaman.

He was 70 about 3 months before WotLK came out. I made him my main, abandoned my Paladin, and made my mage my main alt.

Currently...

In WotLK, I have been really good in regards to my disease. It has almost been a full year and I have keep with the 1 raiding main, 1 max level alt, platform that so many people in WoW do.

However, I fell to the temptation. Back in August, I started leveling a druid. I was having a blast enjoying leveling through the world one more time before everything changes with the new expansion. I hit 60 about 3 weeks ago and all I have to say....

Flight form = OMFGWOOTWITHSUMTANGYBBQSAUCE

Seriously.

Tangy bbq sauce...I know...it was that amazing. All I did for 15 minutes is fly around dropping in and out of flight form. It was way too much fun.

Then it kicked in overgear...

I got a wild hair up my ass and wanted to play a desto lock. I remember back in the day of Vanilla WoW and playing my little gnome, Chillibean....wrecking faces in pvp.

37 killing blows, 70 honorable kills, 18 deaths, 2 flag returns....not terrible for a level 46.

We lost, but I my stats made me smile. 23 killing blows, 8 deaths, 70 honorable kills.

I have about 15 more screenshots of Chillibean melting faces, but you get the point. After looking at these screenshots and remembering how much fun they are...I decided to do the unthinkable.

I performed a race, server, and sex change on Chillibean. I know right? The altoholism always wins out! DAMN YOU!!!

Chillibean is no longer a gnome, he is now an undead. He is also not a he anymore, he has turned into a she. I figured since I already had a male undead, I'll roll with the female for different animations....which I do like.

Also the name Chillibean just didn't fit with a evil female bitch that steals people souls and uses them to hand out cookies for boss encounters in case they get close to death.

Whats the new name? I think this is quite clever really and I can't believe it was still available. "Triplesix" is her new name.

Get it?

Triplesix = 666 = sign of the devil = underground rap group = I'm a genious

Now what?

I have been having a blast leveling the lock. In three weeks, I have leveled from 46 to 67. That is not counting the time that I have been raiding on my Shaman. I have just devoted all my "alt" time to leveling my lock. Hopefully I can get her to 80 just in time for patch 3.3.

That way when I do my heroic farming, I will be getting triumph badges! Sexy thought I know...=P

The only toon I have abandoned is my Paladin. Poor Bonquesha....all she does is sit in my old guild disenchanting all the greens and unwanted gear that my other toons don't want.

She passes the time by /dancing on the mailbox in her red Christmas costume.

I still haven't given up on my Druid, but I can only do what my altoholism dictates.

Who knows, maybe this new expansion I will have another new main and a main alt...

Thanks for reading and until next time, I'm WTFout!

Informational Goodies and Random Asshatery

So it is 3am in the morning and wow.com has not yet reported that there will be maintenance this morning. I am excited and pissed off at the same time...

My main playing time is in the morning, so when they do maintenance I know that I will not be able to log in and play. This gives me time to catch up on other things or get a few extra hours of sleep. I am usually ok with maintenance for this reason, it forces me not to play.

When they don't have maintenance I am initially excited. I can log in and mess around for an hour before I go to bed. However, I am really bad at just playing for an hour. I have lots of friends on my server that are online in the mornings and I can screw around in Org for 2 hours and not even realize it. Damn the WoW addiction! Damn you!!!!

You see, WoW is like nicotine. You crave it, but when you know that you won't be able to smoke for multiple hours...overall you are ok with it. Think of work as a perfect example...you know that when you clock in for work, you don't get your first break for "X" number of hours. So you know that you won't be able to smoke, feed your nicotine addiction, for those "X" number of hours.

However, when you are hanging out on your own time, you'll find yourself smoking just because you haven't in the pass hour. Same thing applies to WoW...If it is available for you to play, you are more then likely going to play.

That was pretty random...

I will try to get more on point and talk more about WoW.

There are a few things that I want to talk about in this article, I might as well list them now so if your not interested you can just move on lol.

  • Random picture of a Walrus
  • Addons that will make you better
  • Altoholism - Elemental Shaman and Arcane Mage ownage stories of the weekend
  • Guild Assplodes
  • Weekly Dumb
  • Quote of the Week
  • Nazi Cat

Addons that will make you better...

I am going to go out on a limp and say that more then 75% of WoW players use some sort of addons. I know that number is MUCH higher for raiders and I feel like its my blogging duty to share some addons that will make you a better healer / dps / tank.

Power Auras Classic

This addon is flipping amazing. I knew of this addon for awhile, but I just recently started using it. In a raid environment, there is alot of stuff going on and it is very easy to miss a proc or a special ability.

This is were Power Auras comes in. It allows you to put up an image on your screen to notify you of whatever you set it up to do.

For help configuring this mod there are a few very helpful tutorital videos on youtube...fyi

Example A - On my Elemental Shaman, my lava burst ability is on a cooldown. I want to use this ability every time it is up and like I stated before, sometimes in a raid environment I can miss it...which hurts my dps. I setup power auras to pop a large flashing image on my screen right above my character's head when it is off cool down. This way I know that my next spell should be lava burst.

Example B - On my Arcane Mage, sometimes I don't notice when I get my Missile Barrage proc. I also want to use this proc when I have 4 Arcane Blast debuffs. In a 25 man raid, this is easily overlooked sometimes, so I setup Power Auras. I have one image pop on my screen to notify me that my special proc, Missile Barrage is ready and I have proc come up to remind me when I am at 4 Arcane Blast debuffs. It works wonders and my dps has shot way up after using this addon.

Example C - Lets say that you want to be notified when you get under 15% health or mana? You can setup power auras for that. This works great in a pve raid or a pvp environment. I know sometimes I forget to heal myself because I am so worried about healing everyone else. Power auras helps me remember and that will make you a better all around player.

Clique

Clique is mostly used by healers, but I still use it on my mage for decursing and other abilities. All you have to do is put your cursor over a raid plate and click a particular button that you setup for a spell.

For my shaman...

"shift + right click" = chain heal
"mouse button 4" = cure poison / decurse / cure disease
"middle mouse button" = earth shield
"mouse button 5" = macro for instant heal and trinket usage.

For my mage...

"mouse button 4" = decurse
"mouse button 5" = spellsteal

I am telling you that once you get use to this addon...there is no going back. I really do not think I can heal up to my standard in a raid setting with it. It cuts down on so much time and makes things so much more smooth...its reDONKEYOUS!

Altoholism

Elemental Goodness

I consider my off spec for my shaman as one of my alts because I put alot of time, gold, and effort into his set this past weekend. I was rocking full T7.5 with a few odds pieces from Ulduar 10 and badge gear. Over the weekend I spent 85 triumph badges on the spec and got him two pieces item level 245 gear. I also got 2 pieces of the regular T9 gear and upgraded his main hand weapon. I spent about 1100 gold on enchants and gems and I must say...he is f'n sexy!!

I have yet to try out my dps in a raid, but over a period of 5 minutes self buffed I was rocking 4k dps on the heroic dummy. With my old gear over the same amount of time I was rocking 3k dps. There was moments when I was reaching well over 5k dps and all I can say is that it made me a happy cow. I can't wait to get into a raid and unleash the elemental fury to see what the overall result will be.

I am telling you, the power aura classic mod really, really, helps out with my dps on my elemental. I did the same duration, five minutes, without the power aura mod on and my dps was about 500-600 less...that was with me really paying attention too!

A.D.I.D.A.ARCANE

Mostly due to her rocking face, I usually read clearcasting's blog daily before I go home from work. She is an arcane mage and she always makes me jealous with all of her stories of ownage. So I made it a goal to get on my mage and try to get some purple pixels.

I did the heroic dailies for a few days and I got into a pretty good Ony 10 man. I got no loot, but 3x triumph badges is worth going in my opinion. I also got in a 10 man ToC run with my mage! It is ALOT different dpsing then it is healing that place.

I found out that the second boss, Lord Jarraxus or w/e, that I had no idea what to do as dps lol. I caught on quickly and we after some wiping pains, we finally cleared that place out. A super sexy belt dropped with a TON of delicious haste but I rolled a 4. I tried to buy it from the destro lock that already had a level 232 belt, but he said it was too good of an upgrade for him. The belt he was rocking had alot of crit and the belt that drop had 0 crit, but alot of haste. Everything else was pretty much identical besides the haste belt had 5 less spell power.

Did something change with destro locks? I thought they were all about crit...

I didn't feel like arguing with the guy and he already turned down my off of 500g, so F him.

So again, no purple pixels on the ToC run, but I got a ton of triumph badges and I only need 5 more to get the item level 245 shoulders. I am still rocking the T7 shoulders from 10 man Naxx...so yeah....HUGE UPGRADE

On a side note, my mage was doing around 3.5 dps during the 10 man raids. My gear completey sucks besides the T8.5 head and legs that I got...I can only imagine the type of dmg I can do with Arioch's gear. /jealous

Lucky biatch <3

Guild ASSplodes!

ahahahahahahhhh!!!

You know, I finally get into a guild that is ok with me raiding 2 nights a week and actually has a raid spot for me 100% of the time due to being the only elemental shaman in the guild. The first week I was in the guild we killed everything besides General and Yogg in 25 man Uld and we 1 shotted everything else, 10 and 25 man...Ony, ToC, VoA.

There was no difference in the second week, we still pwned faced just like the previous week. We were about 5-6 members short on the raid, but we still 1 shotted everything 25 man wise. The this past week came and we didn't run any 25 man raids because we only had like 16 people sign up. A few raiders went on vacation and a few had midterms to study for...no big deal, we still ran 2 groups of 10 mans.

Fast forward to Sunday...

I log in and notice one of our officers in Dalaran....and he isn't in the guild! WTFmate! I look at the guild log and notice that the 2 raid leaders and about 12 core members left the GUILD!

...

I still don't know what really happened, but it had to do with people not showing up to raids....you know...that one week. With Icecrown around the corner I was pretty excited that I would get to see the new content with a high end guild and that dream was shot down.

They are in a rebuilding phase now and in all seriousness...we still have some pretty fantasic people in the guild. As for 25 man raids? No chance in those happening...but our 10 man raid roster is still pretty solid.

Just sucks that it ASSploded over one bad attendence week. Its not like we weren't getting applications and we were only seriously 5-6 people away from a full 25 man raid and bench spots. It fucking silly that they decided to leave for that reason and as you can read from my rant....I'm not too excited about it.

I am not sure what to do guild wise now. Since I got expose to 25 man raiding and the pure ownage that we did...I want it back lol. 10 mans are fun, but I want the 25 mans.

I will keep you guys informed as my guild journey unfortuntely continues...../sigh

Dumb of the Week!

Thats right, back by popular demand its WTFspaghetti's Dumb of the Week! Man...this dude has the biggest balls ever. I wont ruin the story for you but seriously...you have to read this article. It is work safe.

Quote of the Week!

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Thats all from me people! I'm WTFout of here!

Tuesday Maintenance Boredom - Patch 3.3 and You...

Morning blog lovers!

If you are anything like me, you had "a case of the Monday's" yesterday. We made it and we are moving on....

It doesn't get much better, now the servers are down for maintenance. SOB! We can't win for losing can we?

So I figured I would take the time and talk about the new upcoming patch, 3.3. There are a ton of changes and new additions to the game and I am especially excited for this patch. Mostly because my two favorite classes, Shamans and Mages are getting a some pretty neat stuff and the Lich King himself is finally showing his punk ass face.

Oh yeah, that means a new raid instance and it also means three new 5 man dungeons with a 5 man version boss fight the Lich King himself. Woot!

Mages in patch 3.3

  • Arcane Empowerment: This talent now also grants 1/2/3% increased damage done by the mage's party or raid for 10 seconds after the mage gets a critical strike with Arcane Explosion, Arcane Missiles, Arcane Barrage, or Arcane Blast. This effect is exclusive with Ferocious Inspiration and Sanctified Retribution.
Lets take a second to take that in

...

Ok, so I think that all Arcane mages will agree with me by saying F YEAH! Every time you crit with your 3 main nukes, Arcane Blast, Arcane Missiles, and Arcane Barrage, you will grant your entire raid with 3% damage increase? Are you serious? That is f'n amazing! In a 25 man raid, 3 mages will should guarantee that the 3% dmg buff will be up 99.9% of the time. This is a huge pve buff and everyone should be excited, not just Arcane mages.

Shaman

  • Fire Nova Totem: This totem has been replaced with a new spell, Fire Nova, which is available at the same ranks as the old Fire Nova Totem. Existing characters will automatically learn this new spell in place of the totem. With a Fire Totem active, shamans will be able to use Fire Nova (fire magic) to emit the same area-of-effect damage as the old Fire Nova Totem from the active Fire Totem, not consuming the totem in the process. Fire Nova will activate a 1.5-second global cooldown when used and has a 10-second spell cooldown. The caster must be within 30 yards of the totem to use this ability, but does not need to be within line of sight of the totem.
  • Improved Fire Nova Totem: Renamed Improved Fire Nova. This talent now provides an additional 10/20% damage to the spell and reduces the cooldown by 2/4 seconds.
Uh...I had to read it a few times too, don't feel bad. So how in the hell is this going to fit in our standard rotation? I don't know and truthfully it probably won't unless there is stuff to AoE. It sounds like a very cool spell, but I have no idea how it actually turn out. The original fire nova totem did ok aoe damage at the level cap, but I never messed with it really. Now that it doesn't require its own totem, but just a fire totem, it will be interesting to play around with, but I am trying to stay positive.

Elemental dps rotation is pretty bland and could use some spiciness added to it. However, I highly doubt that it will make it in our dps rotation. It is another spell that we can use for AoE encounters, which is HUGE because lets face it...chain lighting is pretty lame for an AoE spell.

I hope it looks cool. The post just said it was a spell, so I don't know if its a spell like the Moonkin's typhoon AoE spell or something like a Mage/Lock's channeled AoE spell. I am planning on downloaded the PTR, so maybe I can get some more facts about this instead of just talking about it.

LAWL

Icecrown Citadel: The Frozen Halls - Holy F!

First off....before I get into this new raid / 5 man dungeons. I want you to read a quote from Blizzard. Mostly because I can't say it any better then they can.

"Icecrown Citadel will feature a massive five-player dungeon sprawling across three wings of the citadel's foundation. While the Lich King's attention is focused on the Argent Crusade and the Knights of the Ebon Blade ripping through the front gates, players will be tested as they assist Jaina Proudmoore (Alliance) and Sylvanas Windrunner (Horde) in infiltrating the citadel through an alternate entrance.

An epic quest line will present adventurers with the task of weakening Icecrown Citadel's forces, requiring that players defeat the challenges in each dungeon wing before venturing into the next one. Normal and Heroic versions of the dungeon will be accessible to players, although each wing will be considered a separate instance; therefore, on Heroic difficulty, each wing will have its own separate lockout timer. All-new rewards -- including item level 219 (normal) and level 232 (Heroic) loot -- will be offered to those who destroy some of the Lich King's most formidable allies."

Did they just say three new 5 mans with loot tables of 219 for regular and 232 for heroic? Holy F! One part is excited for all the new gear and content and the other part is kinda disappointed for all of the nooblets running around in level 219 / 232 gear.

But lets think more clearly...if you are in a raiding guild, you are going to have way better gear then what is dropping in the 5 man dungeons of IC. You are going to have 10 and 25 man raid gear from IC. So I take it back...I am just excited...

and so are my non raiding alts!

Epic quest line and the return of attunement's?

Oh snap...Blizzard did just say epic quest line. I remember the last epic quest line that I had to and it was for SSC back in TBC. Before that it was to gain entry to Onyixa back in the day. MMO-Champion does have some idea on what the quest line is going to entail and I must say, it doesn't sound that EPIC.

I will say that it looks quite long, MMO listed 17 quests chain. Now this could all change, but currently on the PTR, that is how it is currently.

You might have also read in that quote from Blizzard that in order to each of the three new 5 mans, you must defeat the one before it. So we have a possible 17 part quest that involves gaining access to the new 5 man dungeons. Without doing the quest line you will not be able to continue to the next "wing".

Sounds like an attunement to me. What do you guys think??

The Forge of Souls

  • First "wing" or dungeon...whatever you want to call it.
  • Has two bosses, Bronjahm, the Godfather of Souls and The Devourer of Souls
  • The goal is to ruin the twisted engines known as soul grinders found in this portion of the citadel
  • Seems like a pretty short instance, but only Blizzard knows because it has not yet been up to the public on the PTR.
Pit of Saron

  • Second "wing" or dungeon. Only accessible to those who have defeated the Forge of Souls "Wing"
  • Has three bosses - Forgemaster Garfrost, Krick and Ick, and finally Scourgelord Tyrannus
  • The goal is to free enslaved allies who have been trapped by the Scourge and find out where the Lich King's private quarters is located in IC.
  • From reading up on the summary, it seems like a pretty linear and normal flowing instance.
Halls of Reflection
  • This is where it goes down! Again, this is the third wing and you can not access it unless you defeated the other two wings.
  • Falric and Marwyn are the first boss fight you encounter and then its the big boy himself, the Lich King.
  • I think what Blizzard is doing is really flipping cool with the Lich King in a 5 man dungeon. That way everyone that plays pve, the 5 man guys, 10 man raiders, and 25 man raiders will all hopefully have some closure in killing this fool!

I know right...lot of information! There is also new Weekly raid quest and new badges. New badges means new badge gear and I was just thinking to myself that I was getting pretty sexy in my T9.

Watch out because that is going to be old news here in a little bit.

What do you guys think about all these upcoming changes? Any thoughts or criticism

I'm One HOT Piece of Beef...

That's right, I said it.

My cow is one hot piece of beef. More to come on this later in the post.

I did alot this weekend in terms of WoW, it was kinda nice. This was the first real weekend in the past 2-3 months that I had a good ratio between doing stuff in WoW and in real life.

Real life ramblings? Really? I didn't think you cared! Ok, so now EVERYTHING is moved from my apartment to my house. Everything is in its place and my apartment is completely cleaned out. I turned in the keys and I was a little sad. Lots of memories in that apartment...

/sniffle

I also did a couple podcasts about Fantasy Football over the weekend. Check em out if you're interested here.

Wait...so you lied? You didn't really want to hear about my real life ramblings?

Ahh ok, I see. Makes sense. Thanks for stopping and telling me the truth. I was about to go in depth on how to make a spinach kish.

Go Go Gadget WoWage!!!

Damnit, now I have the Inspector Gadget theme song stuck in my head.

Curses!

I did alot of cool stuff in WoW this weekend. I got me a Pink Elephant pet and the Brewmaster title from Brewfest. Have you notice how you summon this pet? It is different then anyone I have seen before, you actual chug a beer and he appears lol. Kinda neat I guess right?

So that leaves Hallow End, The Elders, and the Flame Festival left to do on my Shaman to get my hoofs on a violet proto drake. Its really not that important to me, I really don't care about the extra speed or the fact that it is a proto drake. When I first set out on this long, strange, journey (see what i did there? omg haha me) my sole purpose for completing all the holiday events was for the drake and all the cool titles you get to rock.

Then I got myself green proto drake and I love it to death. See the picture on the right hand side of my webpage underneath the new poll? Yup, that's my green proto drake, his name is Hubert. He is a gangsta...anyway

So yeah, once I got Hubert, I didn't care about the violet proto drake. I am still going to complete all of them to get the rest of my title's. When I get the drake I will probably only mount him in Dalaran to stroke my epeen to the masses lol.

Hot Beef

Oh yes, you were intrigued by the title and then you had to read through all that nonsense just to get to this point uh? You're a solider, I'm impressed. So not only did I get the Brewmaster's title, which is second to only "the Love Fool" in terms of badassness. I got the Chef's title as well!

/sexydancewhilesingingmileycyrus

...

Pretty satisfying after spending all that time running around and getting the recipes. Not to mention how lucky I got by getting all of the rare drops. The four recipes that dropped from the old cooking dailies in Shatt were all I had left for the past month.

Quick tip if you are interested in getting the title is that 2 out of the 4 recipes have a chance to drop from the crate of meat. The other two have a chance to drop from the barrel of fish. When I found this out I got the other two recipes within a week.

Now I have TWO badass titles to rock and I don't know which one to actually sport. I have been lending towards "Chef Teknizzle" more because he is a fat cow and I just think that its funny. On the other hand, "Brewmaster Teknizzle" would also fit a fat cow...so I am at a crossroads lol. Too bad I couldn't rock my four favorites at the same time...

"Brewmaster Chef Teknizzle the Love Fool of the Frozen Wastes"

I think I'm going to put in a ticket with a GM. Who knows...weirder things have happened.

Raiding Front

I got into 6, that is right, count them 6 10 man Ony groups this weekend. Why 6 Tek you ask? Because every single one of them was a fail. It was mind boggling. The funniest and saddest thing of every single group was the same exact thing. We had more then enough dps and every single player whether it was a healer, dps, or tank was more then enough geared for the encounter.

60% of the each raid...which is like 6 people out of a 10 man raid could not get the concept of the deep breaths. Don't get me wrong, I gave each of the 6 raids more then enough tries to get it down. I gave each one 4 wipes before I left. I might have stayed for more attempts but it was the same damn people dying to the deep breaths.

LOOK...Onyixa is very easy. All you have to pay the F attention when your screen says in BIG LETTERS "Onyixa takes a deep breath"

Look up at the whore and figure out which way her head is facing. If she is facing you, make sure you either move at least 10 yards to the side or get behind her. Its JUST that easy.

It really made me think that I must either be REALLY good at WoW or people were just too dumb to pay attention and get out of the way. Kinda makes me wish WoW had a single player mode option.

Speaking of Anubs...

So that was pretty frustrating, but I did get into an awesome 10 man ToC raid on Friday.

One shotted everything but the faction champions and we killed them on our second attempt.

Anub is a fun, well tuned fight. I really liked phases one and two, but I didn't like phase 3 at all. As a healer it just goes against everything you do. You want to keep all the dps and the healers around 20-30% life. The only people you need to keep topped off is the tanks. Freaking weird and it was stressful...but very fun.

Has anyone noticed Anub's loot table? Its by far the biggest I have ever seen. There is TON of crap in that table.

The one handed healer spell mace dropped. I forget the name, but its name is something along the line of "mighty chieftain mace". Either way it looks BADASS for a tauren and had 95 more spell power then the one I was currently rocking.

I rolled a 7

/fail

The other healer rolled a 5. Yes! I could win this! The raid leader starts his countdown...

5...
4...
3...
2...

The third healer rolls a 50. He wins...but this is not over for me. I inspect this priest because I knew that what he was rocking couldn't have been much better then that mace. He was in a very good end game guild. I was right, the mace that he just won was at best a side grade.

Do you want haste or crit. That was the only difference. So I messaged him if I could buy the mace from him due to the fact that it would be a big upgrade for me. He doesn't reply but opens a trade chat window with me.

I wait...

He doesn't trade it, he doesn't say anything to me.

I was like...shit...what do I put in there! Do I put anything in there? He might get pissed and change his mind completely. Ahhhh!!!

150g? I hit trade

He also hits trade, sweet! With enchants that spell mace upgraded my spell power by 107 and put my grand total of 2550 spell power without my totems. If I drop my spell power totem I have a grand total of 2745 spell power!

WTFMATE!?!

Too much Spell Power?

Way too much...time to regem. Now don't get me wrong, I want to get my hariy hoofs on as much spell power as I can, but there is no point in having that much spell power when you can up your other important stats...try to find a balance per se.

I regemed 4 of my slots to "10 haste & 5 mp5" gems and "12 spell power & 10 haste gems".

So now I am rocking 19% haste which brings my chain heal down to 2.1 second cast...aka the fucking hotness. 505 mp5 while casting with my water shield, a very good solid amount and 2505 spell power without my totems. 2700 with my spell power totems.

I also got some new pants and a new resto totem from the conquest badge vendor to bring my gearscore up due to the fact that I am applying for a pretty good guild that is on my server. If I get accepted, which is looking like I probably will, it will be the best guild that I have ever been in in regards to pve. These guys are leet but have a "part-time raider" position that requires me to attend 2 out of the 4 raids during the week.

I should be able to manage two raids a week. That is very doable, even on my schedule.

Coming Soon...

Expect to see an article about how to get into a guild that might be "too good" for you. On the flip side expect to see another article on how to get good, skilled players for YOUR guild.

I have been on both sides of the fences and I feel that I am pretty knowledgeable on the subject, so stay tuned and don't forget to check out the new poll!

Podcasting! Are you interested? Want to join up with myself and talk about WoW? Email me and let me know. I mean if anything we would have fun lol, that is a given!

Until next time, I'm WTFout!

Tuesday Maintenance Boredom - Vacation Over

What is really good people in the blogmoshere?

Last time I updated this blog it seems like a really long time ago. This probably due to the fact that I have been on vacation from work for the past five days.

Jealous? Don't be. It was one of those vacations that you took only because you have a REDONKEYOUS amount of stuff to do in your real life. Yeah, you know the ones...those vacations are OK I guess...but they definitely aren't something to be jealous about mmkkk?

I am in the middle of moving from my apartment to my house. We got everything over to my now besides my PC, computer desk, and a few odds and ins. I have no internet and no satellite. A few months ago my ps3 broke so I can't even play that....I am 100% certified bored. I am writing this on my laptop onto a word processor because all of my neighbors are assholes and secured their wireless internet...bastards.

WTFspaghetti's 15 man Choir:

"O BABY YOOOU....YOU GOT WHAT I NEEEEED....SO LETS START TALKING ABOUT WOW, I SAID LETS START TALKING ABOUT WOW"

did my choir just reference a Biz Markie song? You guys are old school, I love it. Anways, onward to the WoWage.

New Beginning or the End?

I told you in my last article that I joined up with a casual raiding guild. I joined due to the fact that one of my good friends joined and I thought it would be more enjoyable to be in the same guild and raid together then to be in separate guilds.

Like I said before, there was no application process. I do not like that and I have never been in a good guild that didn't have an application process. If anything the process is there to weed out the terribads. However, I have never been so embraced in a a guild before like this one. Everyone is really cool and is easy to talk to. I found out that a married couple that I recruited in my old guild were also in this guild.

Not only that, but they are high ranking members...neat right? It is fun to be in a large active guild again and I haven't ran a pug 5 man in over a week...its fantastic.

Only problem is that their raid time NEVER starts on time and there is entirely way too much down time.

Example:

We went back into ToC 10 man to clear that bitch out and started with the Faction Champions. Oh hell yes, we were going to pwn this shit right?

Hahaha...yeah right. I am not one to make excuses, but we seriously had one of the hardest combinations they could throw at us imo. Resto Druid, Resto Shaman, Arms Warrior, Ret Pally, Warlock, and Spriest.

We seriously wiped in there for over an hour...I think 9 times total. The best attempt is when we actually killed both of the healers lol.../facepalm.

Between wipes there was some serious downtime. People were arguing the strat and were complaining that this isn't fun and we should go do some Ulduar.

At one point one of the officers starts yelling at one of the other officers about his attitude and it was really awkward. They decided to take a five minute break to "cool off and clear our heads".

In the mist of this awkward silence, I just started laughing into vent lol. I then said that "I am sorry, but that was funny to me. Ima go smoke now lol"

That five minute break turned into a 15 minute break. Then we wiped a few more times before rolling into another break and doing some 10 man Ulduar.

This time the break was supposed to be 15 minutes to talk with the officers about something. I rolled into Ulduar and I didn't get the message that pops up saying you are about to be saved to this instance. A few seconds later it said that "you are now saved to this instance"

WTF MATE!?!

Come to find out, they have cleared up to Thorim. Well isn't this great? Fucking A...so after the 15 minute break(35 minuts later) we actually pull.

We one shot Thorim and it was pretty wild healing in the arena. It gets intense at a point and is really fun to attempt to keep everyone alive. What was funny about this is right before we started the Thorim event, my girlfriend decides that she wants to sit in my lap and wants to heal lol.

I explained to her that this is SRS BIZZNEZZ and that daddy is going to have to play this one. She was slightly upset, but refused to remove her ass from my lap.

So I did what any REAL man would do...I reached around her and healed my ass off! It was actually really funny explaining to her WTF was going on. She would start telling me which person was getting low..."OMG HE GOING TO DIE! AHHH...oh, you saved him...good...PHEW!"

For the first time ever she said...

"damn, that was intense. I can see why you like playing so much."

I laughed a little. Made fun of her for saying that some. She then went to bed and I continued to on my quest to kill that little robot fucker, Mimiron.

Mimiron

God I hate this dude. This is where my last guild failed at. To be fair though...it has gotten nerfed alot since we were trying to down him and we only had probably 7-8 wipes on him. I knew that we could kill him, but we never got back to Mimiron due to the guild falling apart.

Anyways...

I am a MONSTER at this fight. I put on all of my mp5 gear and was rocking 705 mp5 WHILE casting.

Raid leader spends 10 minutes explaining the fight to the 3 new people. We pull...

Phase 1 - perfect - Downed
Phase 2 - perfect - Downed
Phase 3 - perfect - Downed
Phase 4 - Both tanks died to the same plasma blast and we ended up wiping while all of the pieces were at 10%.

Fucking awesome...we are so going to kill this fucker. I had full mana going into phase 4 and I can do non stop healing the ENTIRE time. We got this

Next pull

Phase 1 - Wipe - Raid leader decided to make the pally tank that is new to the encounter MT. She dies to the plasma blast.

Next pull

Phase 1 - Wipe - Same thing...MT dies again to plasma blast

Pull Number 4

Phase 1 - Wipe - Went back to the setup we had on the fist pull. However, the Tree druid is consistently moving around and not staying spread out. He gets 3 people Naplam'd at the same time the Tank needs all of the heals. The raid leader blames the Warrior tank.../facepalm

Pull Number 5

Phase 1 - Downed - but Tree druid died because he couldn't heal himself through a Naplam and the other healers were out of range. /facepalm
Phase 2 - perfect - Downed
Phase 3 - perfect - Downed
Phase 4 - Wipe - Couldn't keep everyone up with all of the raid dmg due to only have 2 healers.

Pull Number 6

At this point I am flipping out in raid chat. Telling everyone to get there head out of their asses and just focus.

They were a little shocked that I flipped the way that I did, but hey...sometimes you need to lay down the law and it worked. We downed him without anyone dying and I must say...it was fun as hell.

I would post a screenshot but yeah...I don't have my PC at my house. I am going to bring my laptop to work and upload this article to the blog then...pretty weaksauce I know, but hey...I'm bored lol.

Overall

I am still not 100% sold on this guild. There are many things I like and many things that I really don't like. I am going to stay here and see how things work out atleast for another month.

It works out really nice that they do not require any attendance policy, especially because I am moving and won't be able to play WoW for the next week. I also like the fact that if I do log on and there is a spot for me in the raid I will get an invite if I want it.

Only time will tell friends...more to come on this later.

Its Tuesday and the servers are down in the US for maintenance. So if you are bored, take a look around my blog...go through the achieves. I have over a 125 posts for your enjoyment lol.

Until next time, I'm WTFout!

Tuesday Morning Boredom - Makes you think....

Morning blog lovers!

What a weekend. I can truthfully say that it was one of the most interesting weekends I have had in long time. I could go into details, but I think I will spare you lol.

Lets just say, in no particular order, it involved my birthday, alcohol, strippers, UFC, moral decisions, TWO champions crowned in American sports (NBA / NHL), and plenty of BBQ.

Needless to say, my head is still spinning and I am still trying to recover fully.

Makes you think...

Last Friday I posted an entry from Joe Rogan's blog about life and how he compared a mushroom trip to having kids. In this article he mentions that if you took a human that lived years ago and showed him how humans live in the present, they couldn't imagine it...it would be too bizarre.

"I have this routine that I follow where I hire a car to take me to the airport, and while he’s driving I sit in the back seat and get on the internet on my laptop.Seems pretty normal and straight forward to most folks.

Now if you really think about it, just 400 years ago this “normal” routine that I have would have been the stuff of the strangest fiction.I’m moving faster than a sprinting horse inside a big metal box that’s powered by tiny controlled explosions and we’re rolling over a hard, man made surface that’s interconnected throughout the entire continent.

I’m typing away on a machine that is interfaced with the entire world through some invisible signal that almost instantly connects me to the entire current sum of accumulated human knowledge, and while all this crazy shit is happening, I’ll occasionally pull out something smaller than my hand, and I’ll use it to talk to people that are on the other side of the fucking world.

I will eventually get to a giant group of buildings where I will be scanned for explosives. I’ll then be strapped into a metal tube that’s also powered by explosions, and along with hundreds of other people I’ll be hurled through the sky so high that you can see the curve of the earth, and so fast that you literally go forward in time for the slightest fraction of a second."

then...

I ran across this video. I don't know what else to say other then WTF. I mean, this video isn't that old...like 10 years maybe. Who the hell knows what crazy shit us humans are going to get ourselves into the next 10 years.

I read a CNN article about this yearly robotic competition, FIRA. (Federation of International Robot-soccer Association) The article stated that by the year 2025, that the best human soccer team would not be able to defeat a robotic team.

WTF Mate? Thats right...Man U, Team Brasil, AC Milan, or the best players in the world combined would not be able to beat an all robotic team. The craziest part about it is that these robots WILL NOT be controlled by humans. They are programed to make there own decisions and wouldn't need any outside human help once the game started.

For some reason I keep on imagining Arnold saying "Where is John Connor?" . Oh and btw, on National Geographic's Top 10 Most Likely Ways the World Will End....getting taking over by robots terminator style is number 2 on the list.

fucking a...LOL

Till next time, I'm WTFout!
